AP Special DSC Eligibility Criteria & Exam Pattern, Syllabus, Selection Process 2019: AP C and DSE has issued the notification for Teacher Eligibility Test Cum Teacher Recruitment Test (TET CUM TRT) for the posts of School Assistants (Special Education) under Inclusive Education for Disabled Children at Secondary Stage(IEDSS) under the Andhra Pradesh Samagra Shiksha (SMS).
AP Special DSC Notification No.768/TRC-1/2018) Dated:15-02-2019: In pursuance of the orders of the Government in G.O.Ms.No.24, School Edn. (Exams) Dept., dated:15/02/2019 applications are invited for appointment of teachers through the “Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test cum Teacher Recruitment Test (TETcumTRT).”
AP Special DSC Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit: No person shall be eligible for direct recruitment to the post of Teacher if he/she is less than 18 years of age and not more than 44 years of age as on 1st day of July of the year 2018 in which the notification for selection to the relevant post, category or class or service is made.
However, in the case of SC / ST / BC candidates, the maximum age limit shall be 49 years and in respect of Physically Challenged candidates, the maximum age limit shall be 54 years. Upper age limit for Ex-service Men: A person, who worked in the Armed Forces of the Indian Union, shall be allowed to deduct the length of the service rendered by him in the Armed Forces and also three years from his age for the purpose of the maximum age limit. Educational Qualification:
The candidates who have passed SSC Examination in the concerned medium of instruction or with the concerned Language as First Language are eligible to apply for the posts of SA (Special Education). The candidates who have passed the Intermediate / Degree Examination (Academic) in the concerned medium of instruction or with the Language concerned as a subject are also eligible to apply for the posts in that medium.
a) Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education (Spl.B.Ed) recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
OR, b) Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and B.Ed (General) with a one-year Diploma in Special Education. OR
c) Bachelor’s Degree and General B.Ed degree with a two-year Diploma in Special Education recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
OR, d) Bachelor’s Degree and General B.Ed degree with Post Graduate Professional Diploma in Special Education recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
Written Test (CBT): The Computer Based Test shall be conducted in all the districts. A candidate shall appear for the Computer Based Test in the district in which he/she seeks recruitment (or) in adjacent districts of neighboring states.

Duration of Time: 3.00 Hours
NOTE:- Examination Sessions will be enhanced (or) reduced based on the number of candidates applied for the Teacher Eligibility Test cum Teacher Recruitment Test(TETcumTRT).

The Structure and Content proposed for TET-CUM-TRT for School Assistants (Special Education) are as follows:
School Assistants(Special Education) – (TET cum TRT):
Duration of examination: 3 Hours
Part-I :
a. General Studies and Current Affairs – 30 MCQs= 15 Marks
b. Perspectives in Special Education and Inclusive Education – 10 MCQs= 5 Marks
c. Methodology in Special Education and Inclusive Education – 20 MCQs= 10 Marks
d. Psychology with reference to CWSN- 20 MCQs= 10 Marks
Part-II:
e. Category of Disability Specialisation (i.ID, ii.HI, iii.VI, iv.SLD, v. ASD&CP with MD)(Each category has equal marks)- 120 MCQs= 60 Marks
TOTAL – 200 MCQs= 100 Marks
Weightage to IERTs= 5 Marks
The standard of questions for the Teacher Eligibility Test cum Teacher Recruitment Test (TETcumTRT) will be available in Information Bulletin from 25.02.2019.
AP Special DSC Syllabus:
The syllabus prepared for SA (Special Education) TET cum TRT examination-2019 is available on the Website (http://cse.ap.gov.in) from 25.02.2019. The candidates may download and prepare themselves accordingly.. The syllabus/topics given are only suggestive/indicative but not exhaustive.
Eligibility for each category of the post, reservations, mode of selection, pattern of examination including duration, total marks and qualifying marks and other procedures to be followed in the selection is as per G.O.Ms.No.24, Edn. Dept., dated:15.02.2019. Candidates are advised to go through this G.O. thoroughly before payment of fees and filling the applications to know their eligibility.
AP Special DSC Selection Process:
The Recruitment shall be through a selection process consisting of Written Test and other criteria stipulated by the Government from time to time. For School Assistants (Special Education) the total marks shall be 100 (hundred) for the Written Test (TET Cum TRT). It will be purely based on the merit cum roaster system as per the existing provisions being adopted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
For School Assistant (Special Education) selection will be on the basis of marks secured in the Written. Test (TET-CUM-TRT) and Weightage only duly following the Provisions of Rule 19.
Note: – Merit list will be generated on the basis of Written Marks (TET-CUM-TRT) + Weightage Marks. Total marks will be arrived by limiting to 100 (Hundred) only.
