How to Apply for FAST Scheme, Food Security Card, Pensions in Telangana, As a part of past action, of our Telangana government many changes occurred in recent days. Recently we are familiar with household survey, which was conducted on 19th August, 2014.
The Telangana government has announced to apply Pensions, Food Security Card and Financial Assistance to Students of Telangana(FAST) Scheme.
In this way now Telangana people have to apply for those schemes. Generally in the household survey, One proforma is enough for total family members. But here people have to apply individually from the same family, those who are eligible for above mentioned schemes.
In this situation the people are confused in applying a method because they have no knowledge in applying for the above said schemes. Even now the more people are standing in lines day long in this short time period.
The people are approaching the xerox centers and buying the forms in high rates. The last date for applying these schemes is October 15, 2014. It is a lot of tension and confusion to the Telangana people. So the people are arguing for the T government to extend the date for applying these schemes. So, Telangana CM has announced that, The last date for applying these schemes is extended to October 20, 2014.
Regarding the Telangana state government has announced for applying pensions, Food Security Card and FAST schemes. In this subject the government allotted works and responsibilities to VRO’s, Panchayat Secretaries in Villages, municipalities, Corporation level for receiving of applications from the people.
The government has not given any clarity in applying the method. Firstly, they announced the last date and should apply with filled with white paper to concerned officers. But this situation is not so easy process what they said earlier. Here we are providing some steps for How to apply for pensions, Food Security Scheme and FAST scheme? And guidelines.
These schemes are getting scholarships for poor students, pensions for poor old people, handicapped and supplying rice in very cheap rate to the below poverty level people. For this respected family or on behalf of family members can apply for these schemes and they have to apply separately for each scheme.
Food Protection Card: Here all the BPL family members are eligible for the food protection card. They should apply for this and on form is enough for all family members.
Pension: Each family member should apply individually for pension.
FAST: Family member is a student, who is eligible for FAST should apply individually for Caste, Residence and Income Certificate are needed.
So, caste, residence and Income Certificates are needed to apply for FAST scheme, But for other schemes, only a filled with white papers and along with Aadhar Card are needed for applying process.
So we have understood that for applying pensions and Food Security Card need not any documents or formats, only we have to write the house owner name and particulars of applying person like Aadhar Card number only, but not E-Aadhar number, in this applying process no need to give photos and xeroxes.
Application For Income Certificate:
Those who are applying for an Income Certificate under FAST scheme should apply in the new proforma which is related by government under GO.No.5. These forms are available at all xerox centers. They have to enclose xerox copy of ration card with filled proforma.
Who are not eligible ?
Recently the government has released guidelines for eligibility for these schemes. Farmers, those who have more than 5 acre land Employees who are working in govt, private, public and outsourcing departments.
Doctors, Conductors, professors and self employment schemes beneficiary.
Rice mill owners, Petrol pump and Other shop owners. Those who have four wheeler owners are also not eligible for these schemes.
Who are eligible ?
In respect of all pensions except disabled and widows, only one member (namely the women) per household shall be eligible for a pension.
For old age pensions, the age should be as per age criteria given above and should be evidenced by documentary evidence such as birth certificate, electoral roll, Aadhaar card or any document which shows the proof of age.
In case of non-availability of documents, the verification officer must be able to arrive at a rational assessment of the age by corroborating with other factors such as age of children, grandchildren’s marriage etc. In case of doubtful persons, they shall be referred to Medical Board for assessment of age.
For widow pensions, the death certificate of the spouse is a must to be eligible for a widow pension. In case of non-availability of death certificate and if Verification Officer satisfied, the recommendation shall be made subject to the production of death certificate.
For a person with disabilities, a Software for Assessment of Disability for Access Rehabilitation and EMpowerment (SADAREM) certificate showing the degree of disability having minimum 40% is a must. Persons without a SADAREM certificate should be asked to get one.
In case of non-availability of SADAREM certificate and if Verification Officer satisfied, the recommendation shall be made subject to the production of SADAREM certificate.
For Weavers and Toddy Tappers pensions, the verification officers should confirm whether the beneficiary is a registered member in the Co-operative Society of Weavers/Toddy Tappers.
The Telangana Government has extended the date of filing application for food security cards, pensions, caste and income certificates till October 20. The orders extending the date were issued on the directions of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. All the District Collectors and other authorities concerned were informed about the extension of date.
