The Rythu Bandhu scheme has been launched by the government of Telangana for the development of farmers in the state. The Rythubandhu scheme aims to provide financial benefits to the farmers of the Telangana state.
How to Check TS Rythu Bandhu scheme payment status? Direct benefit transfer scheme: ‘Rythu Bandhu’ (Telangana’s pioneering farm input assistance) assistance of Rs 5,000 per acre per season is provided across the board to all farmers in the State irrespective of their landholdings. Rs 5,000 per acre per season, working out to Rs 10,000 per year from this fiscal.
The scheme is encouraging farmers to give up the financial assistance being provided by the State government under the Rythu Bandhu scheme. Such farmers have to fill an application and submit it to the Agricultural Extension officers or Mandal Agricultural Officer in this regard. The amount obtained from such cases will be transferred to Telangana State Rythu Bandhu Samithi and used for farmers’ welfare.

Apart from providing incentives to the farmers to carry on their day-to-day life, many insecticides/pesticides will be provided to them in order to take care of their crops.
Under the Rythu Bandhu scheme (Agriculture Investment Support Scheme), the farmers will get incentives for their day to day work. In order to maintain the health of the crop, they will be provided with insecticides and pesticides.
Also, labour and other investment will also be provided to farmers who can’t manage their finances. This scheme will help the farmers sell more and make them financially stable as well.
In order to avail this Rythubandhu scheme, the farmers must be a resident of Telangana state and must own the land. The scheme is applicable for small and marginal farmers and commercial farmers are excluded from the scheme.
Rs. 5000 per acre per season
Under the Rythubandhu scheme, almost 58.33 lakh farmers are provided Rs.5000 per acre per season to support the farm investment twice a year, for Rabi and Kharif seasons.
According to the state Finance Minister Harish Rao, Rythu Bandhu payment amount would be disbursed to the beneficiaries in June 2020.
The Telangana govt credited the Rythu Bandhu payment amount to the bank accounts of nearly 50.84 lakh farmers on June 22.
Also, the patta holders farmers whose bank account was linked were transferred Rs. 5,294.53 crore at the rate of Rs.5,000 per acre. Although, due to a problem in linking the bank accounts, nearly 5 lakh farmers were excluded from getting the amount. 63,477 farmers having RoFR pattas were also credited Rs.82.37 crore.

How to Check TS Rythu Bandhu scheme payment status?
In treasury site
- Go to the official link https://treasury.telangana.gov.in/index1.php?service=allschemes
- After opening the page, you can view the options year, type and PPBNO.
- Now, select the year and the scheme you are looking for followed by your PPBNO details. Click on the submit option.
- After clicking submit, you can now view the status page.
- If the Rythu money has been released, then the date of payment will be visible on the screen. Else, if the application is pending, you can get the amount within one week.
In IFMIS site
- Open the IFMIS portal https://ifmis.telangana.gov.in/rythubandhustatus.
- Enter the year and the PPB number.
- Now, click on submit and get the status details.

The scheme was announced by the Chief Minister of Telangana, K. Chandrashekhar Rao at Farmers Coordination Committee (Rythu Samanvaya Samithi) conference at Jayashankar Agriculture University on 25 February 2018. An allocation of ₹12,000 crores was made in 2018-19 state budget. It was launched on 10 May 2018 at Dharmarajpalli village in Karimnagar. If a farmer has a lot of field such that they are due more than Rs. 49,000 then they get a second check for the remaining amount.
- What is Give it Up! Option under this scheme?
The Chief Minister was the first farmer to forgo the support called as, Give it up!, given by the government and appealed to all rich farmers to do the same. The farmers who forgo the support, the money goes to the corpus of Rythu Samanvaya Samithi corpus.

Investment is the surest way to enhance agriculture productivity and also income to the farmers, besides breaking the vicious cycle of rural indebtedness. In order to ensure that the farmers do not fall again into the debt trap, a new scheme called “Agriculture Investment Support Scheme” (“Rythu Bandhu”) is proposed to be implemented from the year 2018-19 Kharif season onwards to take care of initial investment needs of every farmer.
