Government have decided to take up the Intensive Household Survey to enumerate all the households in the Telangana state, on 19th August 2014. The survey would be carried out by deploying all the available employees to collect the data on various parameters, in the meeting conducted by the Hon’ble Chief Minister on 01-08-2014.
The District Collectors were requested to make necessary arrangements for taking up the Intensive Households Survey.
As per government order no.50, dated: 4th August, 2014, the Government has sanctioned and released an amount of Rs.20.00 crores (Rupees Twenty Crore only) to the districts, @Rs.2.00 crores (Rupees Two Crore only), per district, towards incurring required expenditure and other incidental charges for conducting Intensive Household Survey.
Intensive Household Survey:
According to top officials , The Telangana State Chief Minister, who wants to ensure that the money allocated for welfare schemes reaches real beneficiaries. In this survey each official who would record the details of 20 households would have to submit the forms to the government the very same day. Same day survey also helps weeding out of bogus cards as the head of the family cannot be present at two places simultaneously.
The government which would soon impart extensive training to the employees would also launch a massive awareness campaign across the Telangana State so that the head of the family would be available for the survey team when they visit their houses.
The campaign will also explain the documents that the public will have to show to the survey team so that accurate data could be collected. They will have to satisfy the survey team in regard to questions pertaining to the size of the family, financial and social status, revenue sources, assets, needs and other such issues.
There will be 10 subsections, A-J and head of the family will have to certify that the details furnished are correct. If the that the details are not correct, then that family will be declared ineligible for welfare schemes. It has been announced on 19th August would be a govt. holiday, there will be no problem for the government employees.
As per go.no. 360, dated: 11-08-2014, the Government hereby order that 19.08.2014 (Tuesday) shall be General Holiday to the Government Offices/Schools/Colleges including Banks under Negotiable Instruments Act located in Telangana State including GHMC area in connection with Intensive Household Survey.
