ORDER: Government hereby declare the Birthday Celebrations of Dr. Babu Jagjeevan Ram and Dr. B.R.Ambedkar falling on 5th April and 14th April respectively as “Government Functions” every year.
All the Heads of Departments and all District Collectors are requested to Celebrate Dr. Babu Jagjeevan Ram and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Birthday falling on 5th April and 14th April respectively every year in a befitting manner. The expenditure on the above Celebrations shall be met from their respective Department budgets. The attention of all the Project Officers, SSA in the State are invited to the reference read above and they are informed that the Govt. have directed all the RJDSE/DEO, district Vocational Officers etc to organize Programmes in all the Educational Institutions to celebrate Sri Babu Jagjivan Ram’s Birth Day on 05.04.2016 and 1251h year Birth Anniversary Celebrations of Dr. B.R.Ambedkar’s Birthday on 14.04.2016 in a befitting manner.
Further, Govt. informed that various programmes such as conducting Rallies by the students to highlight about Literacy, other Social; Issuesetc., can be taken up. Various competitions in the nature of debates, discussions, songs, dramas etc., can be organized on these days to highlight the lives and achievements of Sri Babu Jagjivan Ram’s and Dr. B.R.Ambedkar’s and also integrate it with the contemporary situations to inspire the students. The officers must involve the District Collectors, other Public Representatives in these Programmes.
Jagjeevan Ram & Ambedkar’s Birthdays declared as State Functions: Therefore, all the Project Officers are requested to take action as per above Govt. orders and report compliance to this office immediately. This has got the approval of the State Project Director, Sarva Siksha Abhiyan, Telangana, Hyderabad.
