MDM Guidelines on Food Safety and Hygiene, Director of School Education, Sri. G. Gopal Reddy gaaru has issued Proceedings Rc.No.92 to all the District Educational Officers in the Telangana State and given guidelines on MDM Scheme.
In this connection “MHRD issued Guidelines on Food safety and Hygiene for school level kitchen under Mid Day Meal Scheme File has been sent to the above said all DEOs. This proceedings details as follows.

Subject: MDM- Guidelines on Food safety and Hygiene for school level kitchen under Mid Day Meal Scheme – Communicated -Reg.
Reference: Lr.No.14-2/2013-EE.5(MDM-1-2),dated:13.02.2015 from the Director(MDM and EFA) MHRD, New Delhi.
All the District Educational Officers in the state are informed that the Director (Mid Day Meals and EFA), MHRD, New Delhi in the letter read above informed that the Guidelines on Foodsafety and hygiene for school level kitchens finalized in pursuance of the decision taken by the Empowered Committee.
Copy of the guidelines enclosed with an aim to help the states to focus more intensively on the safety aspects of procurement, storage, preparation, serving, waste disposal of food items as well as issues of personal hygiene of students and those involved in cooking and serving of food.
A copy of the guidelines on food safety and hygiene for school level kitchens under MDM scheme is communicated herewith to all the District Educational Officers in the state with a request to bring the same to the notice of all the inspecting officers, Head Masters, Cooking agencies, CCH, SMCs etc., to implement the same.
