Indian Institute for Studies in Mathematics (IISMA) – Conducts Maths Talent Search Examination 2023 or MTSE 2023 for school students. The test is intended to increase awareness and interest in mathematics in boys and girls.
The test will identify students talents in Mathematical Reasoning, Mental Ability, Novel Approach, Concepts, Accuracy, Speed, etc. All students studying from third class to ninth class can write this test.
IISMA is an organization entirely devoted to the promotion of mathematics at all levels. Mathematics is the language of nature and an indispensable part of our life. IISMA firmly believe it is essential to broaden and deepen the understanding of mathematical concepts among the students right from the beginning, outside the rigid framework of standard school syllabus.
In the course of time, a student must develop an intuitive approach, critical thinking and a quick hand at calculations. To test their understanding of mathematical concepts, and to prepare them to face competitive exams, IISMA is organising a Maths Talent Search Examination or MTSE for the students of classes III to IX in English and Marathi.
Team IISMA earnestly solicits your co-operation in its endeavor to honor and inspire the mathematical talent in the young. The last date for MTSE registration is 30 April.
MTSE Exam Date is 16 May. MTSE Examination Fee for registration is Rs.250.

Eligibility Criteria for MTSE: MTSE is an open exam. Any student studying in Class III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX under any educational board is eligible to appear for MTSE. A student can appear only for the class in which he/she is studying during the academic year.
Online MTSE Details: The MTSE 2023 will be a cloud based Online test. The paper will consist of 35 multiple choice objective questions. These questions will have to be answered in 60 minutes on an A-I based Online Test platform from home with a webcam enabled device.
The system will not allow a student to log in unless and until the webcam is enabled. The system will continuously catch, record and process the facial movements, eyes movements, lips movements, objects movements, whispering of sound, etc. and flag the irregularities through data forensics. During an exam, if the webcam is disabled, then the system may debar the student from writing the exam further.
Each correct answer will be awarded with 2 marks. There will not be any NEGATIVE marking for wrong answers. The student will be able to download Seat Number 10 days prior to the date of the examination from Downloads section of this website.
This is a completely objective test. There are 35 questions. There will be a level of questions depending on the class. Each question has four options. Identify the correct one of these. 2 marks are allotted for each question. No negative marks. Test time hour. The score can be checked after submitting after completion of the test.

Indian Institute for Studies in Mathematics, IISMA, is an organisation dedicated to improving the quality of mathematical education at all levels. IISMA was founded by a bunch of like-minded individuals, who firmly believed that the present education scenario does not focus strongly enough on fundamentals and their application, which tends to make mathematics feared rather than enjoyable. IISMA members have been striving to change this scenario ever since.
IISMA is to develop a strong base with deeper understanding, and strengthen theoretical and applied dimensions of mathematics. To equip the students with a set of conceptual skills, intuitive tricks and fast methods to make them more confident and consequently expel the baseless fear of mathematics. To look for the mathematical talent in the young, and to honour and inspire the talented young by awarding scholarships.
