NTA Registration process for TPCs Test Practice Centres, The trial registration process for NTA will begin on September 1. From this year, the Joint Entrance Main (JEE Main) examination will be conducted twice a year, the first examination will be held from January 6 to 20, 2019 and the second examination from April 6 to 20. However, the government has changed its decision to conduct NEET twice a year, the examination will be conducted once and in pen and paper mode.

National Testing Agency (NTA) will open the registration process for the test practice center on September 1. All the students who want to understand the question pattern of the following examinations. UGC NET, JEE, NEET and others can register themselves through the official website, nta.ac.in. The registration process for NET and JEE will commence from September 1 and will close by September 30. Earlier, the trial registration link was activated on Tuesday, August 28.

UGC NET: The Union government has released the final schedule of NET that will be conducted in July and December by the National Testing Agency (NTA). NEET to be held once a year: NEET medical and dental entrance exam will be held once a year and in pen-paper mode.

Last month, Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar had announced that NTA would conduct NEET, along with JEE Main for admission to engineering colleges, twice a year. As per reports, NEET will be conducted on May 5, 2019

National Testing Agency (NTA) will open the facility for Test Practice Centres (TPCs) soon on the official website for the students of remote areas to make them familiar with the new pattern of competitive entrance examinations the agency has been assigned to conduct.

In a recent reform, the Human Resource Development (HRD) ministry has formed NTA to conduct entrance and competitive examinations like UGC NET, JEE (Main) and NEET (UG), which were earlier organized by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). According to an official, 2,775 centers – schools and colleges from across the country – have shown their interest to be part of the TPCs for practicing the exam.

The student registration and practice will be hosted on the official website of NTA, www.nta.ac.in. The HRD ministry had earlier announced that the NTA will establish a network of test practice centers for students of rural areas so that everyone will have an opportunity to practice before the exam.  Schools/ engineering colleges with computer centers would be identified and kept open on Saturday /Sunday. Any student can use the facility free of charge.

All tests would be set in a scientific manner with the test items developed jointly by the subject matter experts and psychometricians. Before developing the question papers, the item writers for the exams will be given feedback on the functioning of the previous years’ items so that they are able to make test items which are more valid and reliable.

All the above mentioned examinations will be held in the existing number of languages. The registration process for UGC NET and JEE is set to commence from September 1 and will close by September 30. Apart from these exams, NAT is also authorized to conduct CMAT and GPAT exams.

The TPCs will have a downloaded Computer Based Test which will be similar to the actual test to be conducted on the same day. The practice tests will help the candidates to familiarize themselves with login into the system going through the detailed instruction regarding the test using the mouse or numeric keyboard on the screen for attempting each question scrolling down to the next question, navigating between questions, reviewing and editing the option and submit a question.

Dates of examination: April 6 to April 20, 2019 (8 different sittings and candidate can choose anyone)

UGC NET 2018: Important dates
Commencement of online application process: September 1, 2018
Exam dates: December 9 to 23, 2018
Result: January 10, 2019.

NEET 2019 (Once a year): Important dates
Online registration process: November 1 to November 30, 2018
The download of admit cards: April 15
Date of examinations: May 5
Result date: June 5, 2019.
