Guidelines to HM:
I. Pre Test/ Baseline test and also Endline test: Head Masters of Primary Schools, Upper Primary Schools and High Schools shall take up special remedial classes for the children separately with conducting some Baseline test and also Endline test for assessing the improvement. The existing material in schools i.e,
~ SLIM cards,
~ Library books and
~ Class I and II Text books may be used for the strategies to improve the basic competencies.
II. Staff Meeting: Head Master need to conduct a meeting with staff and define the roles and responsibilities of each staff member and
~ Timings for remedial classes,
~ Targets and
~ Develop plan of action for improvement with specific targets.
III. PostTest/End line Test: At the end they should conduct one end line test and furnish the report on progress to the concerned School Complex Head Master and Mandal Educational Officers. All the School complex Head Masters are responsible in their complex area for the implementation and improving the basic competencies.
For Remedial teaching:
A. Pre test/Baseline test for Remedial teaching/3Rs Programme: All the DEOs & POs of SSA in the State are hereby informed that. vide ref. cited detailed instructions have been issued on the implementation of academic calendar for the academic year 2018-18 and also instructions on Implementation of remedial teaching (3Rs Programme) in all the Primary, Upper Primary and High Schools conduct of baseline evaluation(21st March 2017 After) on children achievement of basic Competencies Reading, Writing and Arithmetic and set target to make all the students to achieve basic competencies of Reading, Writing and Arithmetic by 23 April, 2017
B. Post test/End line exam on or before 22nd April, 2017: In this regard now it is proposed for conduct of the End line examination to all the students to know the progress in reaching the targets i.e. achievement of basic competencies of Reading, Writing and Arithmetic by 23 April, 2017.
C. End line examination on or before 22rd April 2017: Therefore, all the DEOs & POs of SSA are requested to give instructions to the Headmasters of Primary, Upper Primary and High Schools to conduct End line examination on or before 22rd April 2017 and send the progress report to the concerned MEOs/Dy.E.O.s to consolidate and send the same to the Districts. The DEOs in the districts are requested to furnish the district progress report to the Director of School Education and a copy to Director, SCERT.
D. Baseline and line examinations: No. of students can able to perform in baseline in the competencies of Reading, Writing and Mathematics and also in the End line examinations – class wise & competency wise progress and the proforma to furnish the progress is given here under

E. Provide Correct data/information: If schools not taken up the remedial programme as per the instructions, they need not provide information. The schools will be cross checked for correct data by the District/ State teams and necessary action will be initiated if schools provided wrong data/information.
F. Last date for Sending Progress report: Therefore, all the DEOs and POs of SSA are requested to inform the same to all the Headmasters of Primary, Upper Primary and High Schools through concerned MEOs and Dy. EOs and get authentic information and furnish the district progress report to the Director, SCERT and a copy to Director of School Education before 23rd, April, 2017 without fail.
