TS Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi scheme Scholarship Amount Rs.20 Lakhs, TS Foreign Education Scheme, Telangana Overseas Study Scheme,TS Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scheme/Financial Assistance for SC Students for Pursing Higher studies Abroad. Telangana State Government has launched a new foreign education scheme for SC Students for pursuing higher studies in post graduate in Foreign Universities and T Government has enhanced the Scholarship grant amount from Rs.10.00 lakhs to Rs.20.00 lakhs (Rupees Twenty Lakhs only) under the “Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi” scheme. In the reference first read above, Government have issued detailed guidelines on “Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi” financial assistance to SC students for pursuing Higher Studies in Post Graduate Courses in Foreign Universities from the Academic year 2013-14. Subsequently, certain amendments were issued regarding income ceiling and mandatory requirements in the reference 2nd & 3rd read above.

2. In the reference third and fourth read above, the Director, SCDD, TS, Hyderabad has submitted proposal to the Government to take a view and issue orders on increase of the Scholarship amount under “Ambedkar Overseas Vidhya Nidhi” Scheme to SC students and other parameters pertaining to scheme implementation. On the occasion of the 125th birth Anniversary celebrations of Dr.B.R.Ambedkar” on 14.04.2016, the Hon’ble CM made an announcement / assurance to enhance the scholarship amount under “Ambedkar Overseas Vidhya Nidhi” from Rs.10.00 Lakhs to Rs.20.00
Lakhs.

3. Government after careful examination of the matter hereby order to enhance the Scholarship grant amount from Rs.10.00 lakhs to Rs.20.00 lakhs (Rupees Twenty Lakhs only) under the “Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi” scheme with prospective effect, subject to the guidelines issued vide references 1st to 3rd read above.

4. The Director, Scheduled Castes Development Department, Telangana State, Hyderabad, shall take necessary action accordingly. Enhancement GO.22
