2,000 more teacher posts for residential schools in Telangana(Total 6000 posts): The government has decided to sanction 2,000 more teacher posts to the residential schools in the State. This is in addition to the 4,000 posts which were sanctioned recently. These posts would be filled through the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) and a notification for recruitment would be released soon.
The government has decided to establish about 300 residential schools for the BCs, SCs, STs, and minorities in the State. It wants to see that they start functioning from the next academic year. Earlier, the government had given a nod to creating 4,000 teacher posts for the proposed residential schools and instructed the TSPSC to issue the notification for the recruitment.
However, it was held back as the government wanted to increase the number of posts. The government last year announced that it would set up residential schools for the SCs, STs, and minorities but now it had decided to extend it for the BCs also.
Separate residential schools would be established for boys and girls and the teachers in the girl’s school would have only lady teachers as per the latest decision of the government. Since the government wants to ensure the functioning of these schools from the next academic year, the recruitment process is expected to begin from November or December.
Appoint 23,494 employees/staff in ts residential schools/TS Gurukulams: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday instructed the officials to appoint 23,494 employees in a phased manner as required by the Residential Schools being set up under the KG to PG Scheme. At a review meeting, KCR said that the Residential Schools for SC/ST/BC and Minorities are going to be started in a big way in the State.
To impart quality education, there is a need to appoint teachers and other staff on a permanent basis in these schools. Under the four categories, the government is planning to start 726 Schools and some of the schools have already started functioning since last year. The rest should start functioning from the next academic year.
He wanted appointments of 8245 employees immediately for the 2017-18 academic year. He wanted TSPSC to conduct the recruitment and wanted a notification to be released soon. The CM has asked the officials to identify land for these schools so that they can have permanent buildings. Adequate funds will be allocated in the Budget for the establishment and running of these institutions.
