After Teachers Transfers completion all are eagerly waiting for DSC Notification. But our educational minister Mr. Kadiyam Srihari announced that there is no any teacher recruitment now, but after this rationalization, transfer there are nearly 10 thousand above vacancies so, he announced these posts will be filled by next June.
But here is dilemma that to conduct TET or TERT (Teacher Eligibility cum Recruitment Test) Already from 2011 TET is well known for us. But many people’s opinion is that already these candidates gets through entrance test of required course, final exams for 2 years, and now is it necessary of this test? So, in 2013 they appointed a committee to study on this, according to that committee recommendations govt accepted to conduct TET + DSC combinely as TERT but later govt did not respond on this.
Now it is the time to respond but after the high court judgement this will come to conclusion.
They are thinking to conduct TERT as 2 papers paper -1, paper -2 (one TET, other TERT).If it is not possible to conduct them separately . But conducting of both the exams same day is not correct according NCTE rules. Some of the candidates appealed high court on this, and it will be finalized after judgement only. Govt will move ahead according to this. According to govt officials, the TS Govt is going to release the TSTET 2018 Notification in the month of June 2018.
The directorate had already announced that TSTET 2018 would be conducted on……… But due to delay, fresh schedule would be issued soon. According to a senior official, the examination would be held in the month of April(April 2nd week). “If the examination is held in March, teachers in the private schools will not be able to attend schools. This may hamper conduct of SSC examination. As a result, we are planning to conduct the test in April second week,” official said. Already several teachers in the private schools are avoiding classes to prepare for the TET. On the other hand, the EC has also granted permission for issuing notification for calling applications for the posts of vice-chancellors in the State universities. The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) would issue notification in a couple days in this regard.
TSTET and TS DSC separately: The Telangana State government has decided to conduct Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) and District Selection Committee (DSC) separately. A decision was taken during a meeting convened by Deputy CM Kadiyam Srihari with officials of School Education Department at the Secretariat here in December. The government would conduct TET and DSC separately. The norms prepared by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) would not allow to conduct a common examination for recruitment of teachers. According Govt Officials, the TET was only taken as eligibility criteria for DSC and DSC was a screening test for teacher recruitment and conducting a common examination was against norms of NCTE and may lead to legal tangles hampering the recruitment process of the teachers.
Further the government has decided not to give eligibility for the students who are in the final year of DEd or BEd courses for appearing for the TET. The Minister said 20 per cent weightage would be given TET for calculating final score in the DSC examination.
It may be worth mentioning here that schedule for the TET was already released by the government. The exam is scheduled on…….. The Minister said the registrations for the examination will begin in couple of days.
