AP DSC Recruitment Counselling 2023 should be started for Secondary Grade Teachers who appeared for 2018 DSC exam from September 25
Andhra Pradesh Education Minister has informed that the state government has started the process of appointments of Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT) who appeared for the District Selection Committee (DSC) examination in 2018.
Though the DSC exam was conducted in 2018, the SGT posts were not recruited due to court cases.
The government started the process of appointment for 3,524 posts. As of now, verification of 3,524 candidates is completed. They will be sent SMS on September 23, to upload their certificates on the website.
The candidates should arrive at District Education Officers’ office on September 24 and get their certificates physically verified. Counselling will be conducted for candidates on September 25 and 26 and appointment letters will be handed over.
The appointed teachers should join their duties on September 28. The recruitment process should be completed for 949 more posts, once the court orders come in. Govt is hopeful that the courts give positive orders regarding the recruitment of pending DSCs. After clearing the pending recruitments; the government is likely to conduct DSC 2023..
The schools are opened for 9th and 10th classes‘ students only amid the COVID-19 outbreak. Students can go to school with their parents’ approval. The next step of opening schools will be decided according to the guidelines of the Central government.
Admissions into the four Indian Institutes of Information Technologys (IIITs) in the state should be done based on Class 10 marks, a decision in that regard will be taken tomorrow.
The exam was conducted for 7,902 teacher posts in various state govt schools and more than six lakh applications were received by the education department. The exam, held in online mode in 124 examination centers across the state saw 85.81 percent attendance, according to the officials.

Update on 23-09-2019: Commissioner of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh has declared the result of teacher recruitment. The list of candidates selected for appointment to principals, postgraduate teachers, trained graduate teachers, physical education teachers, craft, art and music teachers, school assistants, language pandits, physical education teachers, music teachers, craft teachers, and art & drawing teachers has been released online. Merit list has also been released for recruitment to residential schools.
The recruitment to these posts is purely based on merit cum roster system. Details on the selection process were already notified to the candidates. Documents of all the qualified candidates will be verified. After verification of certificates by the authorized officers/ Team, the final selection list shall be prepared and published by the District Selection Committee concerned. The officials also released the English Proficiency Test results of Principal, Postgraduate teacher (SGT) and Trained Graduate Teacher (SGT) candidates. The percent of candidates qualified under the Principal category is as low as 23.38 percent. PGT candidates for Civics and Economics 5.7 percent and 4.8 percent qualified candidates respectively, the least performing group among all the categories.
About 8,844 objections were received on the initial key and the subject expert committee found that only 136 objections are accepted on the substantial evidence and re-verification. The balance 8,708 objections are found to be baseless by the committee. Of the 136 objections, 48 questions were approved as a change of answers, 41 were approved as add scores and 47 questions had double answers.
Of the total 52 categories of posts, results were declared for 46, according to the officials. The remaining six categories including Re-Telugu School Assistant Telugu, Telugu Language Pandit, Hindi School Assistant, Hindi Language Pandit, Physical Education Teacher and School Assistant (Physical Education), have not been declared due to court cases.

Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) cum TRT test was conducted in online mode from December 6, 2018, to January 2, 2019. Online applications were accepted from November 1 to 16, 2018. Candidates were allowed to choose their online examination canters from November 19 to 24, 2018. Hall tickets were made available for download from November 29, 2018.
The written examination for school assistant (non- language posts was held on December 6, 10. The examination for school assistant (languages) was conducted on December 11. The written test for postgraduate teachers was held on December 12, 13. Examination for graduate teachers and principals was conducted on December 14, 26. Examinations were held in two sessions per day. The morning session commences from 09.30 am to 12.00 noon and the afternoon session commences from 02.30 pm to 05.00 pm.
