India Post Recruitment 2022, Apply for Postal Assistant/Postman, MTS & mail guard posts

India Post Recruitment 2021 notification has been released for various vacancies under the sports quota. The recruitment drive has started for 221 posts on the official website. Candidates who are interested to apply for the posts in the Delhi circle can do so by November 12, 2021. Candidates can find more details about India Post Recruitment on indiapost.gov.in.

Recruitment position has opened for various posts such as Postman, Multi Tasking Staff or MTS, Postal or Sorting Assistant. As per rules, candidates would be on a probation period and undergo training. In order to apply for the post of Postal or Sorting Assistant and Sportsman, candidates should be between 18 to 27 years of age as of November 12, 2021. To apply for the post of MTS, candidates should be between 18-87 years of age as of November 12, 2021. Certain age relaxations are allowed in accordance with rules.

Further, to apply for the post of Postman and Postal or Sorting Assistant, candidates should have passed their class 12th exam or any other equivalent exam from any recognized board. For the post of MTS, candidates should have passed their class 10th exam or any other equivalent exam from any recognized board. For Postal or Sorting Assistant and Postman posts, candidates should have basic computer skills. Candidates have to furnish their Basic Computer Training Certificate from any recognized institute before they get the appointment letter.

Candidates are advised to go through the official notification in detail before applying for the post. The number of sports that qualify for the appointment of sportsmen is 64. It includes sports such as Archery, Badminton, Cycling, Cricket, Shooting, Wrestling, Volleyball, Tennis, Chess, Hockey, and others. 

Candidates are advised to keep a check on the official website for more updates about the recruitment. Candidates should note that they have to show a self-attested copy of the certificate of their participation in International Competition or National Competition or Inter-University tournament or Physical Efficiency Drive and National/ sports games for schools. It should be noted that in case there is a tie between candidates, those who have received more medals or are in a higher position would be given preference.

Maharashtra Postal Circle Recruitment: India Post has released notification for direct recruitment of postman, mail guard and multi tasking staff in Maharashtra Postal Circle. Maharashtra postal will be started the registration process for recruitment of postman, mail guard and multi tasking staff from October 12.

The Recruitment registration window will open on October 12 and candidates can fill and submit the application forms till November 10. The recruitment was notified on September 29.

Few of the posts advertised in this recruitment, will be filled through departmental exam and promotion as well. Candidates applying for direct recruitment must follow the eligibility conditions mentioned in the notification.

Eligibility

Age Limit: Those applying to postman and mail guard post should be between 18-27 years of age and those applying for multi-tasking staff post should be between 18-25 years of age. The date for determining the age limit is November 3.

Qualification: For both postman and mail guard posts, for Maharashtra State, the candidate should have studied and passed Marathi language at least up to Class 10 and for Goa State, the candidate should have studied and passed Konkani or Marathi language minimum till Class 10.

The minimum educational qualification required for postman, mail guard post is Class 12 pass and it is Class 10 pass for multi-tasking staff post.

For the postman post, candidates have to obtain a driving license to drive two wheeler or three wheeler or light motor vehicle within a period of two years from the date of appointment. However, persons with disability shall be exempted from the requirement of driving license.

Postal Assistants/Sorting assistants: Intermediate or equivalent examination passed. The rest of the post-matriculation / padotaragatilo pass. State Level / National level to be involved in events.
