Directorate of School Education, AP Residential Educational Institutions Society has released the APR School Admission 2024 notification on its admission web portal.
AP General Gurukul Vidyalaya Society invites online application forms from the eligible and interested students for APR School Admission through APRS CAT in General Residential schools in the State.
These 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th class admissions would be done on the basis of common entrance test in AP General Gurukulams.

APRS CAT (Andhra Pradesh Residential Educational Institutions Society Common Admission Test) is an entrance exam conducted by the Andhra Pradesh government for admission into various residential schools in the state.
The exam is conducted for students studying in classes 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th. The schools are designed to provide quality education to students from economically weaker sections and rural areas.

AP Gurukul Vidyalayas play a key role in educating school children as responsible citizens. The higher education standards and nominal fees make these schools more popular and competitive.

APRS CAT Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for APRS CAT, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
Age Limit for APRS CAT
- For class 5th: Candidates must be born between 01/09/2011 to 31/08/2013 (both days inclusive).
- For class 6th: Candidates must be born between 01/09/2010 to 31/08/2011 (both days inclusive).
- For class 7th: Candidates must be born between 01/09/2009 to 31/08/2010 (both days inclusive).
- For class 8th: Candidates must be born between 01/09/2008 to 31/08/2009 (both days inclusive).
Educational Qualification for APRS CAT
- For class 5th: Candidates must have passed class 4th or its equivalent exam from a recognized school.
- For class 6th: Candidates must have passed class 5th or its equivalent exam from a recognized school.
- For class 7th: Candidates must have passed class 6th or its equivalent exam from a recognized school.
- For class 8th: Candidates must have passed class 7th or its equivalent exam from a recognized school.
Apply for APR School Admission 2024
Student should prepare a complete information sheet before applying. After checking and satisfying the eligibility criteria, the candidate will be able to submit online details with the basic details (1. Candidate Name, 2 Birthdays and 3, Mobile Number).
Upon payment of Rs.50/- a journal number will be given. Getting a journal number is not the same as applying. It is just the number that states the application fee has been paid.
