TSMHSRB Staff Nurse 2050 posts
In yet another major step towards strengthening bedside care for patients in government tertiary care teaching hospitals in Telangana, the State government accorded permission to fill up 2050 posts of staff nurse in teaching hospitals that fall under Director of Medical Education (DME).
The Telangana Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board (TSMHSRB) will take up these recruitments. The posts to be filled are in addition to the 5,204 staff nurse posts already being filled for various health and other allied departments.
Almost all the staff nurse posts are expected to be filled for new medical colleges, which have attached hospitals in districts, and the super-specialty hospitals that are coming up in Hyderabad and Warangal.
TG Staff Nurse Online Application

Telangana Staff Nurse Recruitment
Applications are invited from qualified persons online on the Board’s website (https://mhsrb.telangana.gov.in) for the posts of Staff Nurses under various departments. Online applications will be enabled as per the schedule.
Time is provided between the issue of this notification and the commencement of receipt of online application forms to enable persons with contract/outsourced experience in state government hospitals/ institutions/ programs to obtain experience certificates from a competent authority.
The details of vacancies are given at the official web notification. The scale of pay associated with these posts is 36,750 – 1,06,990.
The number of vacancies varies depending on the department concerned’s intimation. Vacancies can be added or deleted until the declaration of results.
Selection Process: Applicants will be selected based on 100 points, of which a maximum of 80 points will be awarded for the percentage of marks obtained in the written examination (which will consist of 80 marks comprising multiple-choice questions).
A maximum of 20 points will be awarded for service in state government hospitals/ institutions/programs on a contract/ outsourced basis.

2.5 points per 6 months for service rendered in tribal areas. 2 points per 6 months for service rendered in other than tribal areas. Points to be given for only completed 6 months.
TG Shall be awarded for service (contract/outsourced) rendered in state government hospitals/ institutions/programs as per certificates issued by the competent authority.
The applicant Seeking an experience certificate should apply to the respective competent authority. After obtaining the experience certificate, the candidate should apply online for these posts and upload it while applying online.
Points for contract/outsourced service rendered shall be awarded only for service in the same post category for which the application is made. (For example, if a candidate has applied for a Staff Nurse post, she will not be given weightage for previous service rendered on contract/outsourced as ANM, even though she has the qualification to be eligible for Staff Nurse).
The application for seeking an experience certificate and the proforma in which respective competent authorities shall issue the experience certificate are appended as Annexures III-A, III-B, and III-C. Experience certificates other than those issued in formaTG Specified at Annexures III-B and III-C will not be considered.
The date of notification shall be the cut-off date for calculating the weightage marks, and competent authorities shall issue the experience certificates accordingly. The merit list will be displayed on the Board’s website.
Staff Nurse Recruitment Eligibility
Educational Qualification: Applicants must possess the following qualifications as of the notification date: General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) OR B.Sc (Nursing). Further, the applicantTG Should register with Telangana State Nursing Council as of the date of their application and upload this certificate online.
At the time of verification of certificates, if it is noticed that any applicant who possesses a qualification other than the requisite qualification and claims that said qualification is equivalent to the requisite qualification, the matter shall be referred to an ‘Expert Committee’ constituted by the Board and the Board will take a decision based on the report of the ‘Expert Committee’.
Age Limit: The applicantTG Should be at least 18 years old and not exceed a maximum age of 44. The upper age limit is relaxed as per the government norms.

Staff Nurse Application Fee
Each applicant must pay Rs.500/- towards the Examination Fee. There is no fee exemption under this category. The applicant must pay Rs. 120/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) towards the application fee. However, the following categories of applicants are exempted from payment of processing fee.
- SC, ST, BC, EWS, PH & Ex-servicemen of Telangana State.
- Unemployed applicants in the age group of 18 to 44 years of Telangana State.
- Applicants belonging to other states are not exempted from payment of Fee.
Mode of Fee Payment
The fee is to be paid online through the payment gateway, duly following online instructions once the application form details are filled out. Once remitted, the fee shall not be refunded or adjusted under any circumstances.
Failure to pay the Online Application fee and Examination/ Processing fee, wherever applicable, will result in the application being rejected. If full payment of both fees (unless exempted) is not made, the application will not be accepted.
TG Staff nurse exam date 2025
The TG Staff Nurse Exam Date 2025 is 2311-2025. The exam will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode at various exam centers across the state. The admit cards for the exam will be released in July 2025.
Staff Nurse Exam Pattern
Written Exam: The date of the written examination will be notified on the MHSRB website in due course. The examination will be OMR-based and consist of 80 multiple-choice questions, each carrying one mark.
The examination syllabus is given at Annexure V. The examination will be held in English. Applicants have to download the hall tickets online, and the date on which downloading of hall tickets to be enabled will be notified.
The examination centers will be at the following places, and the applicants have to choose two places: (i) Hyderabad, (ii) Warangal, (iii) Khammam, (iv) Nizamabad.

Staff Nurse Application Process
The application must be made online on the MHSRB website. The applicantTG Should upload all required certificates (original certificates must be produced for verification at the time of scrutiny before finalizing the selection list).
Applications submitted online are final, and no changes are permitted thereafter. Upon submission of the online form, a Reference ID Number is generated. The same may be used for any future reference.
The applicant must compulsorily fill out all relevant columns of the application form. The applicant alone shall be responsible for information provided by them and decisions taken by Board based on the same.
Incomplete/incorrect application form will be rejected. The information if any furnished by the applicant subsequently in any form will not be entertained by the Board under any circumstances.
The applicant should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered, fabricated, or suppress any material information while submitting online application. The applicant shall be liable for criminal action in such cases.
