AP High Court Recruitment 2023 notification released for filling up of various posts in Andhra Pradesh High Court. The High Court of AP has invited online applications for direct recruitment to various posts in Andhra Pradesh State Judicial Service.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the positions online at hc.ap.nic.in on or before January 2, 2023, until 11:59pm. The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 68 vacancies of Civil Judge (Junior Division), out of which 55 vacancies are to be filled under direct recruitment and 13 vacancies to be filled under recruitment by transfer.

High Court of Andhra Pradesh has invited application for the appointment to the posts of Typist, Copyist, Assistant and Examiner in the High Court by direct recruitment. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online in the prescribed proforma placed on the High Court’s official website – http://hc.ap.nic.in.

Eligibility criteria: A candidate needs to be practicing as an Advocate for not less than three years as on December 3, 2020, is eligible to apply for the Civil Judge (Junior Division) under direct recruitment.

For the direct recruitment, the age of the candidate should not be more than 35 years of age as on December 1. Details on the eligibility criteria can be found from the official website of Andhra Pradesh High Court.

Must have passed degree in Arts or Science or Commerce or Law of a recognised university AND For Typist/ Copyist: Must have passed the government technical examination in Typewriting (English) Higher Grade 45 w.p.m.

Selection Process: For shortlisting candidates a screening test, which will be computer-based, will be held for 100 marks, the official notification reads. Candidates who secure 40% marks and above will be shortlisted for the next selection exam which will be a written test.

Exam Pattern: The High Court is first conducting a screening test (computer based test) as part of the shortlisting process of candidates. The test consists of the Multiple Choice Objective Type method. 100 marks will be administered for 100 questions in two hours.

Candidates who get more than 40% marks will be selected for the written test in the ratio of 1:10.

The written test consists of three papers. 1) Civil Law 2) Criminal Laws 3) English Translation Test (25 marks), Essay Writing Test (75 marks) for Legal Subject. Candidates who qualify the written exam will appear for interview.

The translation test has to be written from Telugu to English and from English to Telugu. 100 marks will be allotted for each paper. This will take about 3 hours. Candidates who have secured minimum marks in the written test will be selected for the Viva Voice Test.

Application fee: Candidates belonging to the OC/BC category are required to pay an application fee of Rs 800, while for SC/ST candidates, the registration fee is Rs 400. However, the SC/ST candidates who are not the residents of Andhra Pradesh will have to pay the application fee of Rs.800 instead of Rs.400.
