Telangana State Revenue Subordinate Service Rules: GOVERNMENT OF TELANGANA, REVENUE (SER.II) DEPARTMENT, Public Services – Revenue Department – Adaptation of the Andhra Pradesh Revenue Subordinate Service Rules to the State of Telangana – Orders – Issued.

Reference:

  1. The Andhra Pradesh Revenue Subordinate Service Rules, issued in G.O.Ms.No.990, Revenue (Ser.III) Department, dated:24.09.1992.
  2. The Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2014 (Central Act No.6 of 2014).

ORDER:
Whereas, by virtue of section 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Re-organization Act, 2014 (Central Act No. 6 of 2014), the State of Telangana comprising the territories specified therein has been formed on and from the appointed day i.e., of 02.06.2014.

  1. And whereas, in section 101 of the Andhra Pradesh Re-organization Act, 2014, a provision has been made for the purpose of facilitating the application of any law ( as defined in section 2 (f) of the Act), made before the appointed day, in relation to the State of Andhra Pradesh or the State of Telangana, the appropriate Government may before the expiration of two years from 02.06.2014, by order, make such adaptations and modifications of the law, whether by way of repeal or amendment, as may be necessary or expedient and thereupon every such law shall have effect subject to the adaptations and modifications so made until altered, repealed or amended by a competent Legislature or other competent authority;
  2. And whereas, the Andhra Pradesh Revenue Subordinate Service Rules were made in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India vide G.O. first read above and are in force as on 01.06.2014.
  3. And whereas, it has become necessary to adapt and modify the Andhra Pradesh Revenue Subordinate Service Rules for governing the posts in Telangana Revenue Subordinate Service in relation to the State of Telangana.
  4. And whereas, after careful examination, the Government has decided to adapt the said Andhra Pradesh Revenue Subordinate Service Rules which are in force as on 01.06.2014 with certain modifications to the State of Telangana.
  5. Accordingly, the following Notification will be published in the Extra-ordinary issue of Telangana State Gazette.

NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 101 of the Andhra Pradesh Re-organization Act, 2014 (Central Act No.6 of 2014), the Government of Telangana hereby order for adaptation of the Andhra Pradesh Revenue Subordinate Service Rules issued in G.O.Ms.No.990, Revenue (Ser.III) Department, dated 24.09.1992 as amended from time to time, which are in force as on 01.06.2014 to the State of Telangana with the following modifications:

(i) These rules may be called the Andhra Pradesh Revenue Subordinate Service Rules (Telangana Adaptation) Order, 2015.
(ii) These rules shall be deemed to have come into force w.e.f the 2nd June 2014.

  1. In the Andhra Pradesh Revenue Subordinate Service Rules, throughout the Rules, for the expression “Andhra Pradesh”, occurring otherwise than in a title, a citation or description etc., the word “Telangana” shall be substituted.
  2. As from the appointed day, the rules adapted shall, until altered, repealed or amended by a competent Legislature or other competent authority have effect as adapted and modified therein.
  3. For the purpose of this Order and the Rules adapted herein, the expression “the State” shall have the meaning and areas specified in section 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2014.
