NEST be held in two shifts, morning shift beginning at 9 am and afternoon at 2 pm. The exam will be of three and half-hour long.
NEST Exam pattern: The test will be conducted online. There will be five sections of the exam. The first section will be general and section 2 to 5 will have questions on biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics, respectively. Only the best three subject-score will be counted while preparing the result, as per the rule. The test will be held only in the English language.

Steps to complete the NEST Registration 2022
The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) will be conducting the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2022 on June 18. Candidates can apply online through the official website of NEST, nestexam.in. The NEST examination will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and will be held in two sessions at multiple centres all over India.

Next, on the new page, fill all the basic details and register yourself.

An e mail will be then sent to your e-mail address which will contain your login credentials. Use these credentials for logging in on the home page by clicking ‘Click here to log in’.
- Fill the application form
Now fill all the necessary details and upload all the required documents. Also, choose any 5 examination centres from the given options and press ‘Save and Next’.
- Pay the examination fee
Now proceed to pay the examination fee. The fee is Rs 1,200 for male, transgender candidates of General, OBS and General (EWS) category. Whereas, the fee for all female candidates, supernumerary J&K category candidates and SC, ST and PwD candidates is Rs 600.

Application fee: Candidates from the General category are to submit an application fee of Rs.1200 while the students from the SC/ST categories are to submit an application fee of Rs.600. Female students from all the categories and the PwD students are also required to submit an application fee of Rs.600.
Admit card: The admit card for NEST 2022 will be available for download from May 20, Admit cards will NOT be dispatched to any applicant. Applicants must download the admit cards from the NEST website (after login). The download link will be available only till the day of the examination.
There are 200 seats available in NISER and 57 in CEBS. In order to apply for these, you must write Nest-2022. This is an online test. The objective approach is conducted in two sessions. Questions from Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Physics subjects. There are 50 marks in each section.
The candidate’s knowledge and analytical ability in the respective subjects will be tested. Answers incorrectly marked in all sections will have negative marks. Some questions may have one or more correct answers given options. You will get the mark if you find all the correct answers.
Based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the four sections, the two institutes will compile the merit list separately by taking into consideration the three sections with the highest marks. Candidates’ marks out of a total of 150 marks are calculated on a percentile basis. Seats will be allocated as per the reservation.
Be prepared for NEST 2022:
Read the Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Physics textbooks in the CBSE 11th and 12th grades thoroughly. Must master the basics and concepts. Highlights should be written down as notes. Biology students can exclude Maths and Maths students can exclude Biology.
Study the old questionnaires on the Nest official website. Find out what chapters are coming from which chapters in each subject, and prepare accordingly. Amset, JEE Mains, Neat old question papers, sample papers should be practiced. Candidates can score better if they are able to understand and study the subject without reading in a different direction and apply different topics.

What is the Eligibility Criteria of NEST?
In order to be eligible for admission to the integrated MSc programme, the candidates must be born on or after August 1, 2022. Candidates also must have passed class 12 board examination in the science stream in the years 2020 or 2021. Candidates who have appeared in 2022 are also eligible to apply. In addition, a minimum of 60 per cent in aggregate in class 12 board examination is required.
What is the Exam pattern of NEST?
The NEST will be conducted in online mode and will consist of 4 sections of objective multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with a total weightage of 150 marks. Each section is of 50 marks and will contain subject-specific questions from Biology, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. In each section, there will be negative marking for incorrect answers to certain questions. The selection will be on the basis of the merit list prepared by the NISER. During the preparation of the merit list, the three best scores from the four sections of the examination will be considered.
