How to apply for RRB JE, DMS, CMS Posts Recruitment 2023

RRB JE Recruitment 2023 : Apply for 14033 vacancies for various posts in railways, important dates  and more details here. Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released an official notification for recruitment of around 14,000 vacancies for the posts of junior engineer, depot material superintendent and chemical and metallurgical assistant in various zonal railways and production units.

Applications should be submitted before January 31. Railways levy Rs. 500 exam fees from candidates belonging to general category, for others it is Rs. 250. Candidates can either pay the exam fees offline or online. The last date for paying exam fees offline is February 4 and for online payment it is February 5. Keeping in practice, the fee refund norm implemented last year, railways has decided to refund the entire amount or a part of the exam fees to all those candidates who take the exam. Candidates should note that they can’t change the RRB once they have registered for the recruitment. ‘You will not be allowed to modify RRB after registration. You are advised to visit the vacancy table on the Home page and confirm the availability of vacancies for your educational qualification and reservation,’ says the official update.

The interested candidates can apply online for the 14033 vacancies online at the official websites of RRB. There are a total of 13034 vacancies for the post of junior engineer, 49 for junior engineer (information technology), 456 for depot material superintendent and 494 for chemical and metallurgical assistant. Online application for these vacancies will commence from January 2 and conclude on January 31 .

How To Apply for RRB JE Recruitment 2023 : Candidates can apply for RRB JE recruitment on or before January 31. Online registration for one of the biggest recruitment of the year has begun. Graduates and Diploma candidates who wish to join Indian Railways can apply for Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant posts. A total of 13487 vacancies will be filled by the national transporter. As of now, selection process is underway for 1.3 lakh posts in the railways. Railway recruitment boards (RRB) will facilitate the selection process including the initial screening of applications. RRBs will accept the job applications at their portals.

RRB JE Recruitment: Know How To Apply
1. Go to the official website of the respective RRB.
2. Click on “apply online for CEN 03/2018”
3. Click on Vacancy Table in the registration portal
4. Click on the “New Registration” Button below if you are Registering for the first time.
5. Fill the basic details
6. Register your mobile number for ID and password
7. Complete other details
8. Choose the payment option
After payment, click on the “Fill additional details” and complete the remaining application form
Submit the application form

Application Fee:
The online application fee for the general category students is Rs 500 while reserved category applicants (SC/ST) have to pay Rs 250. The fee can be paid through debit card, credit card, net banking or SBI e-Challan.

Selection Process:
 Only single online application {common to all the notified posts in opted RRB – Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer  (Information Technology) [JE(IT)], Depot Material Superintendant (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant  (CMA)} has to be submitted by the candidate through the link provided on the official website of RRBs.
 The entire recruitment process shall involve, 1st stage Computer Based Test (CBT), 2nd stage CBT, and Document Verification/  Medical Examination as applicable. Selection is made strictly as per merit, on the basis of CBTs.
 The date, time and venue for all the activities viz CBTs and DV or any other additional activity as applicable shall be fixed by  the RRB and shall be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course. Request for postponement of any of the above activity  or for change of venue, date and shift will not be entertained under any circumstances.

How to Apply:
a) Candidates can apply for the notified posts of any one RRB as per their eligibility only through ONLINE application mode by visiting the official website of RRBs
b) Read all the Information and Instructions detailed in the CEN thoroughly before starting the filling up of application by  clicking the CEN.03/2018 Link on the RRB Website. It is essential that the candidate understands all information of the CEN correctly to prevent any mistakes while filling application.
c) Scanned Documents in JPEG Format to be kept ready before filling the application
d) Check RRB-Wise Vacancies for the qualification and Reservation Category of the candidate.
e) Further for identifying post parameters and RRB-Wise vacancies dynamically as per their eligibility click on the Tabs for post  parameter and vacancy table
f) Candidates are required to go to the link provided for filling ONLINE application and fill up the personal details/Bio-Data, fee paid etc., carefully. They are also required to exercise their option/preference for Post(s), Railway(s)/Production Unit(s).
g) i) Multiple posts and other requirements have been notified in this CEN. The candidates are required to indicate their Post-wise and Railway/PU-wise preferences very carefully. Options once exercised in the ONLINE Application shall be final and no request for change shall be entertained.
ii) Candidates with partial option will be considered only for the specific categories opted by them since non-option for certain categories or all categories would indicate their unwillingness for the same
iii) Candidates are advised to keep their personal mobile number and personal valid e-mail ID active throughout the recruitment process, as all communications from RRBs will be sent only through SMS/e-mail. RRBs will not entertain any request for change of mobile number and e-mail address at any stage. Candidates are advised to note and preserve their Registration Number for further stages of recruitment process/ correspondence with RRB concerned.

Steps to submit Online Application: 
After completing the process a, b, c & d above steps and carry out the following:
Step 1: Select the RRB to which you wish to apply.
Step 2: Confirm that you have read and understood the instructions clearly by clicking the check box. Click on the “New Registration”
Step 3: Enter your Registration Details like primary details in the required fields
Step 4: Verification of email ID and mobile number through OTP
Note: Candidates can proceed with the online application by clicking on the “Already Registered” Button on the Home Page using  the Registration Number and password.
Step 5: In the Part 1 application page, provide the details of Educational Qualification, Community, Gender, Religion,
Step 6:  In the part II application page, fill in details of Exam Group and Set priority / preferences for posts:
Step 7: Fill the Payment and Bank Account details in the required fields
Step 8: Scribe for PwBD Candidates: Indicate option for Scribe if you are a PwBD candidate eligible for Scribe. Only the candidates suffering from Visually Impaired (VI)/candidates whose writing speed is affected by loco motor disability (one arm) are eligible for availing Scribe against this CEN.
Step 9: Enter the detailed Educational Qualification
Step 10:  Choose the Exam language from Choice of Exam Language tab
Step 11: Enter the Bank Account details for Refund
Step 12: Candidates may give their consent for sharing the scores obtained by them in RRB exams with other Ministries/Departments/ PSUs and Private organizations, for recruitment in their organizations.
Step 13: Upload the Photograph and Signature Upload. Select and upload Signature Tab and upload your Scanned Signature. The signature image should comply with the given specifications.
Step 14: Upload the SC/ST Certificate
CARE : If the file size and format for photograph, signature and SC/ST Community Certificate are not as prescribed, an error message will be displayed.
Step 15: Submit the Application
Step 16: In the end candidates have to confirm the declaration. After confirming the declaration and submission of the application, the candidate may save the file as “PDF” and/or take print of the application and preserve it for reference and record.
