What is Maharashtra TET 2024?
Maharashtra TET 2024 is the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test that is conducted to test the eligibility of candidates who aspire to become teachers in government and private schools in Maharashtra. It is a mandatory exam for all those candidates who wish to become teachers for classes I to VIII in the state of Maharashtra.

To appear for the Maharashtra TET 2024, the candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria: Age Limit: There is no upper age limit to apply for the Maharashtra TET 2024 exam.
Educational Qualification
For Paper-I (Classes I to V):
- The candidate should have passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% marks.
- The candidate should have completed or be pursuing a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Candidates who have completed or are pursuing a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) are also eligible to apply.
For Paper-II (Classes VI to VIII):
- The candidate should have a graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks.
- The candidate should have completed or be pursuing a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
- Candidates who have completed or are pursuing a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) are also eligible to apply.

- Log on to CTET official website www.mahatet.nic.in.

MAHATET Fee: Candidates from the general category will have to pay Rs 500 if they want to appear for one exam and Rs 800 for both exams. For ST, SC, they will have to pay Rs 250 for one exam and Rs 400 for two exams.
