Osmania University has released the OU PhD Entrance Test notification on its website for admission into Ph.D. programmes offered by University in different subjects in the faculties of Arts, Commerce, Education, Engineering, Informatics, Law, Oriental Languages, Social Sciences, Science, and Technology.
Online applications are invited for Ph.D. Entrance Test under Category 2 in various subjects of different faculties of Osmania University. The candidates who have passed the Master’s degree in the concerned subject with a minimum of 55% marks (50% in the case of SC/ST/BC/PWD candidates) or equivalent are eligible to apply. Eligibility: The candidates must have obtained a Post Graduate degree, either regular or through distance mode, from a recognized university in the concerned subject or in an allied subject approved by Osmania University securing not less than 55% marks or equivalent CGPA (50% marks or equivalent CGPA in the case of SC/ST candidates).
In addition to the above, the candidates must have qualified in NET/ SET-TS/AP/ JEST/ GATE/ GPAT/ Ph.D. Eligibility Test 2023 in the concerned subject conducted by Osmania University or must have M.Phil. (through regular mode)/ Ph.D. in an allied subject. The prescribed application form along with the Ph.D. Rules and Regulations can be downloaded from the university website www.osmania.ac.in.
Registration Fee: The Registration fee for online submission of application form is Rs.1500/- (Rs.1000/- incase of SC/ST/BC/PWD candidates). The procedure for payment of Registration fee is available in the website: www.ouadmissions.com.
List of Documents:
- Attested true copies of certificates and Memoranda of Marks of qualification and Gold Medal, if any listed at item 9 of the application.
- Three sets of Synopsis of about 10 pages outining clearly the objectives, assumptions and hypotheses to be tested and research methodology, including a brief survey of research work already done in the areas of research. A select bibliography should also be appended with the research proposal.
- Two self- addressed envelopes. (Affix sufficient postal stamps).
- Attested true copy of latest Caste Certificate issued by the Tahasildar concerned.
- Fellowship Certificate, if any.
- Copies of Research Publications, if any (in Triplicate).
- Permission letter from the Employer to pursue the course.
- Demand Draft for Rs. 1500/- towards registration fees, drawn in favour of the Dean Concerned.
Incomplete applications without the required enclosures are liable to be rejected. (2) Intimations wll be sent only to the candidates who are selected for interview. A Copy Of The Ph.D. Rules & Regulations Effective From The Academic Year 2013-2014 is appended. Candidates Are Advised To Retain The Same With Them.
