The Railway Recruitment Board, RRB, has announced the examination dates for the recruitment of Junior Engineers (JE), Assistant Loco Pilots (ALP), RPF Sub-Inspectors (SI), and Technicians.
According to the schedule, the RRB JE (CBT 1) exam will be held from December 6 to December 13.
The selection process will consist of two Computer Based Tests (CBTs), followed by document verification (DV) and a medical examination (ME). Additionally, there will be a negative marking penalty of 1/3 of the allotted marks for each incorrect answer in the CBT.
Candidates should note that the Admit Card for the said examination will be released four days before the commencement of the examination.
“The 1st stage CBT is of a screening nature, and the standard of questions for the CBT will generally conform with the educational standards and minimum technical qualifications prescribed for the posts.
The normalized score of the first stage exam shall be used only to shortlist candidates for the second stage exam based on their merit.
Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the e-call letter(Admit Card) for the recruitment exam for the posts of Junior Engineer (JE), JE IT, depot material superintendent (DMS), and chemical and metallurgical assistant (CMA) on its official websites.
RRB JE Admit Card Contains: The e-call letter will mention the exam city, time, and exam center. Candidates are advised to bring one original photo ID card, a passport-size color photograph, and a printed copy of the e-call letter, without which candidates won’t be allowed to enter the examination hall.
The RRB JE admit card includes several things, such as:
- The name of the candidate
- The name of the examination center
- The date of the exam
- The address of the examination center and directions to reach.

RRB JE Exam Pattern: RRB JE CBT lasts 90 minutes. There will be 100 questions. The questions will be objective in nature. 1/3rd of marks obtained will be deducted for every wrong answer.
Candidates can log in with their credentials on the above-mentioned dates through the link provided on the official websites or RRBs to find out their exam city, date, session, download train travel authority (for SC/ST candidates only), and e-call letter.
The first stage of CBT will last 90 minutes. Within this stipulated time, the candidates are required to solve 100 objective-type MCQs.
Candidates should note that they need to bring proof of original ID, an e-call letter, and a passport-size color photograph. Candidates with a photocopy of ID proof or a laminated copy of ID proof will not be allowed to appear in the examination hall.
