The AP Police Constable Preliminary Written Test will be held on 22-01-2023 from 10.00 AM to 01.00 PM (3 hours). The registered candidates may download their Hall Tickets from the website from 09-01-2023 to the date of Preliminary Written Test.
Minimum Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed, as on 1stt July, 2022, Intermediate or its equivalent examination recognised by the State Government. In the case of a candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, as on 1st July, 2022, he/she must have passed SSC or its equivalent examination recognised by the State Government and should have studied Intermediate and appeared for the Intermediate Examinations of 1″t year and 2″d year.
Note: The candidate who possesses higher qualification than the prescribed qualification and the candidate with higher qualification without the prescribed qualification shall also be considered for selection along with candidates who have the prescribed qualification only.
Age limit: A person who is a local to Andhra Pradesh State and also working in Andhra Pradesh Police Department as on the date of notification, has been on duty as Home Guard for a minimum duration of 360 days within a period of two years and who is still continuing his service as Home Guard, must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years as on 1st July, 2022 i.e., must have been born not earlier than 2nd July, 1990 and not later than 1st July, 2004.
Al1 other candidates must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 24 years as on 1st July, 2022 i.e., must have been born not earlier than 2nd July, 1998 and not later than 1st July, 2004.
Physical Standards: The candidates should meet the following requirements
a) Height: Must not be less than 162 cms.
b) Chest: Must not be less than 84 cms round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 4 cms.
NOTE: However, the candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes and Aboriginal tribes in the agency areas of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, and West Godavari districts should meet the following requirements:
a) Height: Must not be less than 160 cms.
b) Chest: Must not be less than 80 cms round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 3 cms.
a) EyeSight: Visual Standards required for the above selection shall be as follows:
i) Right Eye Left Eye
(i) Distant Vision — 6/6 6/6
(ii) Near Vision — 0/5 (Snellen) 0/5 (Snellen)
ii) Each eye must have a full field of vision.
iii) Colour blindness, squint or any morbid condition of the eye or lids of either eye shall be deemed to be a disqualification.
b) The candidate should possess sound health and be free from any bodily defect or infirmity which will render him unfit.
c) Candidates who have the following ailments or defects will not be considered for recruitment to any post specified in this rule
i) Physically handicapped
ii) Knocking-knees, pigeon chest, flat foot, Varicose veins, Hammertoes, fractured limbs, decayed teeth, stammering, hard of hearing and abnormal psychological behavior.
NOTE: In order to prevent disappointment, candidates are advised to have themselves examined by a Civil Surgeon before applying for the examination to ensure that they meet the prescribed Physical and Medical Standards.
Fee Structure: The prescribed fee for candidate belonging OCs/BCs is Rs. 300/- (Rupees three hundred only), and for candidates belonging to SCs/STs is Rs. 150/- (One Hundred Fifty only) towards Applications Processing and Examination.
Selection Procedure/Scheme for AP Police Constables PC Recruitment: The Selection Procedure/ Scheme of the Exam will be as follows: (A) Preliminary Written Test: Candidates shall be required to appear for the Preliminary Written Test in One Paper (three hours duration) for 200 marks (200 Questions The syllabus for Preliminary Written Test is given in Annexure II (enclosed).
Intimation Letter: The candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Written Test will be informed about the dates for downloading the Intimation letter through the website slprb.ap.gov.in for appearing in the PHYSICAL MEASUREMENTS TEST (PMT)/ PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST (PET) with details of Venue, Date and Time. Candidates should bring the Intimation Letter when they come to attend the PMT/PET.
B) Physical Measurements Test (PMT): The Physical Standards are mentioned at Para- 10 above. All candidates who meet the required standards will be declared as qualified.
C) Physical Efficiency Test (PET): All candidates declared qualified as above shall be required to attend 1600 Meters run (1 Mile Run) which is qualifying. The candidate must complete the run in 10 Minutes or less time to qualify.
E) Final Written Examination: Candidates who qualify in the above Physical Measurements Test, Physical Efficiency Test, and Trade Test shall be required to appear for a final written examination in one paper (three hours duration) as given below. The syllabus is given in Annexure I.

Note: (1) The minimum marks to be secured by the candidates in order to qualify in the written examination in the paper is 40% for OCs, 35% for BCs, 30% for SCs / STs / Ex-Servicemen.
(2) Questions in the Paper will be objective in nature and will be set in English & Telugu languages. Candidates have to answer the questions on an OMR answer sheet using Blue / Black Ball Point pen only. For this purpose, candidates should bring Blue/ Black Ball Point pens along with them.
F) Selection: The final selection of the candidates will be made strictly on relative merit, as obtained by them based on their score in the written examination (200 marks) for the candidates who qualified in the Physical Efficiency Test and Trade Test. The provision of “The Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (Organization of Local cadres and regulation of direct recruitment) Order, 1975”, the rule of reservation to local candidates is not applicable”.
G) Preference: When two or more candidates in a particular category obtain equal marks, preference will be given to the candidate who was born earlier.

After clicking on the PC link, General instructions web page will be appeared. Read the general instructions and click on the submit and continue button.

After that, on a new window, fill the required information and pay the application fee towards PC application.

After successful payment of application fee, fill the AP SLPRB Constable Recruitment application form and submit.

After submission of PC application form, download the same and take out a hard copy of it for future references.
