ORDER: In the G.O. 1st read above, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has approved for providing financial assistance of Rs.5,000/- to the registered unmarried women workers / upto two daughters of beneficiaries of the Board.
In the letter 3rd read above, the Commissioner of Labour, Telangana has submitted a proposal based on the resolution made in the 2nd Board meeting of the Telangana Building & Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board held on 31.03.2015, for enhancement of amount from Rs.5,000/- to Rs.10,000/- towards Marriage Gift Scheme for registered unmarried women workers / upto two daughters of beneficiaries of the Board w.e.f. 01.05.2015.
In the circumstances reported by the Commissioner of Labour, Telangana, Hyderabad and after careful examination of the proposal, Government hereby order to enhance the existing amount from Rs.5,000/- (Rupees five thousand only) to Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) towards Marriage Gift Scheme for registered unmarried women workers / upto two daughters of beneficiaries of the Board in terms of sub Rule (L) of Rule-33 of the Andhra Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers (RE&CS) Rules, 1999 read with section 22 of the Building & Other Construction Workers (RE&CS) Act, 1996, with the following guidelines w.e.f. 01.05.2015:
(a) The Board shall implement the scheme providing of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) as financial assistance to the unmarried women registered building & other construction worker and also to the two daughters of the registered building & other construction worker who have completed the age of 18 years.
(b) The worker is eligible under the Marriage gift scheme only after completion of 12 months of registration period i.e from the date of registration to the date of marriage.
(c) The enhanced amount of marriage gift is applicable only to the marriages that took place on or after 01.05.2015.
(d) The beneficiary shall submit prescribed application form along with age proof certificate, Marriage Certificate, Wedding Invitation and photos to the concerned officer.
(e) The claim application along with the above documents shall be submitted within 1 year from the date of marriage.
(f) The Deputy Commissioner of Labour concerned shall obtain enquiry report from Assistant Labour Officer concerned and to place before the District scrutiny committee for its scrutiny.
(g) After scrutiny, if found eligible, the scheme amount of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) shall be released to the Saving Bank Account of the beneficiary.
- The Commissioner of Labour, Telangana, Hyderabad and the Secretary & Chief Executive Officer, Telangana Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Hyderabad shall take necessary action accordingly.
