TGSPDCL JLM Vacancy
- Total no. of Junior Lineman posts: 1553.
- Qualification: 10th class, ITI (Electrical / Wiremen) / Intermediate Vocational Course (Electrical Trade).
- Age limit: 18-35 years as on 01.01.2025.
- Selection Process: Based on Written Test, Pole Climbing Ability Test.
- Scale of Pay: 15585-25200 (15585 – 305 – 16500 – 445 –18725 – 580 – 21625 – 715 –25200).
TSPSDCL JLM Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for the JLM position include being an Indian national, having completed 10th standard or equivalent, and being a minimum of 18 years of age. Physical fitness is also a crucial aspect of the job, and candidates must meet the necessary height and weight requirements.
Qualification: Must possess SSLC/SSC/10th Class with I.T.I. qualification in Electrical Trade/ Wireman or two years Intermediate Vocational course in Electrical only from a recognized Institution/Board of combined A.P. /Telangana State Education Department as on the date of notification.

TGSPDCL JLM Selection Procedure
The selection process for the JLM position will be based on a written examination and an endurance test. The written examination will test the candidate’s knowledge in relevant subjects such as mathematics, general knowledge, and technical ability. The endurance test will include various physical tasks such as climbing a pole and carrying weight.
- The evaluation shall be done as follows: Total Marks = 100
- Written Test Marks: 80 marks
- Minimum qualifying marks in the Written Test as per rules :
- OC: 40%,
- BC: 35%,
- SC/ST: 30%
- PH: 30%
- Weightage Marks for in-service outsourced workers engaged on a contract basis and who qualify in the Written Test: 20 marks (maximum) as indicated in item ‘C.’
- The eligible candidates will be called for the Pole / Tower Climbing test in a ratio of 1:1, duly following the Rule of Reservation and the Spirit of Presidential Order.
- NOTE: The candidates who qualify in the Pole / Tower Climbing test will only be eligible for appointment to the post of JLM)
Salary and Job Profile
The selected candidates will be appointed Junior Lineman (JLM) and paid a monthly salary of Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 27,000. The job profile of a Junior Lineman includes the following responsibilities:
