Union Public Service Commission has released the notification for UPSC CAPF Exam 2023 on August 18 . The Commission has invited applications from candidates to fill Assistant Commandants in the organization. This recruitment drive would fill up 209 posts in the organisation.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold a written exam on December 20, for recruitment of Assistant Commandants in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF): Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force(CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

For the Assistant Commandant post, candidates will be selected through a written exam, physical standards or physical efficiency tests and medical standards tests and interview. These tests will be held in succession. The merit list will be drawn on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination and interview.
Educational Qualification & Age Limit: A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India. A candidate who want to apply for the post must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years. Age relaxation rules for reserved categories is available in the exam notice.
The selection process comprises of written examination and physical efficiency test. The written exam comprises of two papers- Paper I and Paper II. Paper I will be held from 10 a.m. to 12.00 Noon and Paper II will be held from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Candidates who are declared qualified in the written examination will be summoned for Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests. For more related details candidates can visit the official site of UPSC.
How to apply for UPSC CAPF 2023:
UPSC would be ending the application process for the UPSC Central Armed Police Force CAPF 2023 recruitment on September 7. All the eligible candidates can apply for the positions online at upsc.gov.in before 6 pm today.
The recruitment drive is being conducted by UPSC to fill 209 vacancies, out of which 78 vacancies are to be filled for BSF, 69 for CISF, 27 for ITBP, 22 for SSB, and 13 for CRPF posts. The process began on August 18 and would continue till September 7 .

A candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university to apply for the posts. The online Applications can be withdrawn from September 14, to September 20 till 6.00 pm.
