As per the latest news, The government of Uttar Pradesh has decided to postpone the Uttar Pradesh Teachers’ Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2021 in view of the current surge of Covid-19 cases across the state. The exam has been postponed till further notice, as per the notification.
Earlier, it was announced that UPTET 2021 notification will be released on May 11, and the exam will be held on July 25. The application process was to start from May 18 and conclude by June 1, according to the schedule released by UP Basic Education Department in March.*

The UPTET will be held in two shifts. The first shift will be conducted from 10 am to 12.30 pm and the second shift from 2.30 pm to 5 pm. UPTET is held to determine the eligibility for teaching posts in government schools in the state from class 1 to class 8. The exam comprises two papers – Paper 1 will be attempted by those candidates who wish to teach from class 1 to class 5 and paper 2 is meant for those candidates who intend to teach from class 6 to class 8.
Once the registration process for UPTET 2021 commences, aspirants must submit their application form within the stipulated date and time. The applications will be accepted online only and no hard copy should be sent to the concerned department.
Only the successful applicants will be able to download the admit card by logging in with the registration details. The UPTET 2021 will be conducted in two shifts from 10 am to 12.30 pm and 2.30 pm to 5 pm. After, the UPBEB will release the provisional answer key and the objections will be received by as per the schedule. The board will declare the result after considering the raised objections. As per the official notification, the UPTET 2021 result will be declared in August.

Eligibility criteria for UPTET: It is compulsory for candidates to either qualify the CTET or UPTET to fetch a job in the UP schools. UPTET eligibility for upper primary school teachers: Candidate should be graduate with two years of B.T.C training or, Candidate should be graduate or post graduate with 50 per cent marks from recognised university and also must have two years B.D/B.D (Special) diploma.
Candidate should hold a graduate/post graduate degree with 50 per cent marks from NCTE recognised institute. or Candidate should be graduate with 50 per cent marks from recognised university. They should have two years B ED/ Special B ED diploma or, They should have secured 50 per cent marks in Class 12 standard and four years diploma in B.EL.ED. or They should have secured 50 per cent marks in Class 12 and 4 years diploma in B.S.C.D or should have secured 45 per cent in graduation (SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-serviceman).
UPTET application fee: The applicants from the general and OBC categories will have to pay Rs.600 as application fees while the SC/ST category candidates will have to shell out Rs.400. The payment should be made through credit card, debit card, net banking.

Instructions to follow before entering exam centers: Call letter: It is mandatory for the candidates to carry their call letter at the examination centre. It will contain details such as examination venue, exam duration, roll number, name and other information.
