A Nationwide Student Police Cadet SPC Programme in AP TS Schools 2017. The objective of the SPC programme is to impart values to school going students to enable them to become responsible citizens. The programme intends to introduce. a robust interface between the police and school going students through lectures by volunteer police officers in schools on how society can partner with Police for peace and public safety.
GoI, MHRD, DSEL:: Sub: A Nationwide Student Police Cadet SPC Programme for 8th & 9tn class students – reg. I am directed to enclose a copy of D.O. letter No. 25019/3/2016-PM.II dated 11th September 2017 received from Additional Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India regarding launching a nation-wide Student Police Cadet (SPC) programme. for 8th & 9th class students.
The objective of the SPC programme is to impart values to school going students to enable them to become responsible citizens. The programme intends to introduce. a robust interface between the police and school going students through lectures by volunteer police officers in schools on how society can partner with Police for peace and public safety.
Apart from this, the programme intends to include lectures/field exercise on topics such as environmental protection, social harmony, respect to senior citizens, promotion of sports, among others that will help inculcate such values and motivate students to become better citizens,
In this regard, a copy pf the guidelines are annexed for your reference. It is requested to extend your cooperation for the successful implementation of the aforesaid programme in your respective State/UTs.

In this regard, it is requested that MHRD may consider issuing necessary advisories to all· the State Governments/UTs to extend their cooperation for successful implementation of the Programme in their respective States/UTs. Further, you may also consider to suitably advise all the concerned for implementation of the programme in all the Central Government School i.e, KV/JNV /Tibetan Schools.
