AIAPGET: All India AYUSH PG Entrance Test 2021, Last Date o Apply is June 30

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made an announcement regarding All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET). The exam was supposed to be notified soon on its web portal and NTA has extended the last dates of submission of Online Application Forms for AIAPGET 2020

The Extended/Revised last dates of submission of Online Application Forms and making corrections (including Centre Cities of Examination etc.) in the particulars in the Online Application Form shall be as follows

Submission of Online Application on NTA website only from 06 May 2020 to 30 June 2020 and Making corrections (including Centre, Cities of Examination etc.) in the particulars in the Online Application Form 16 June 2020 to 22 June 2020.

The candidates are requested to undertake the correction(s) very carefully as no further chance of correction will be provided to the candidates.
The Ministry of AYUSH has extended the date of the internship completion towards determination of Eligibility for appearing in AIAPGET 2020 to 31st October 2020.

The detailed schedule mentioning revised dates of downloading of Admit Cards and of Examination will be displayed on NTA website(s) ntaaiapget.nic.in and www.nta.ac.in later on. NTA would keep students updated about the latest developments and would inform about changes with ample time.

The candidates and their parents are advised to keep visiting the above websites for the latest updates. However, the exam notification was not released on the above-mentioned date.

The NTA has been entrusted by the All India Institute of Ayurveda for conducting the AIAPGET, which is a single entrance examination for admission to Postgraduate AYUSH courses. It includes all India (open/other states) and state quota seats for admission to MD / MS / PG Diploma Courses in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha & Homeopathy system of medicine for all AYUSH colleges, institutions & universities/ deemed universities across the country.

Last year the exam was held on July 14, 2019.

National Testing Agency (NTA) invited the online application from May 6 for All India AYUSH Post Graduation Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2020 on its official website. Interested and eligible candidates are applying for the exam online at ntaaiapget.nic.in.

AIAPGET 2020, computer-based examination, is being held for the admissions to PG AYUSH courses for the next academic sessions.

Eligibility criteria:

Candidates should have a BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS/Graded BHMS degree or Provisional BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the IMCC 1970/HCC 1973 Act and possess permanent or provisional registration certificate of BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS/Graded BHMS degree qualification issued by the CCIM/CCH/State Board/Universities/Deemed Universities and have completed one year of internship or/are likely to complete the internship as per the CCIM/AYUSH notification, may apply for AIAPGET 2020.

Application fee:

Candidates belonging to the general and OBC-NCL category are required to pay an application fee of Rs 2500, while for OBC-EWS applicants, the registration amount is Rs 2250. The application fee for candidates from SC, ST, PwD, and Transgender category is Rs 1750.

As per the notification, candidates can download their admit card for the exam from June 20 onwards. However, the dates of the examination have not been announced yet.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Visit the official website, ntaaiapget.nic.in
  • Step 2: On the homepage, click on ‘new registration’
  • Step 3: Read instructions, check the box at the bottom
  • Step 4: Fill form, upload images
  • Step 5: Make the payment, submit

Exam pattern

It will be a computer-based test (CBT) for two hours’ duration. The questions will be multiple choice with the single correct option. A total of 120 questions will be asked in the exam. For every right question, four marks will be awarded and for every wrong answer, one mark will be deducted. All the exams will be held in English, however, Ayurveda will also be held in Hindi, and Unani and Siddha will also be held in Urdu and Tamil. Candidates can choose the mode of language.

Those who clear AIAPGET will be eligible to take admission to MD, MS, and PG diploma courses in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and homeopathy. Seats will be allotted through counseling on the basis of merit and choice of college. The counseling will be conducted by the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC).

Candidates belonging to General/ Unreserved & OBC-NCL category will have to pay Rs 2500/- and General-EWS category will have to pay Rs 2250/- and SC, ST, PwD and Transgender will have to pay Rs 1750/-.
