BITSAT News, Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani has postponed its admission test i.e., BITSAT 2021 considering the current pandemic situation. The exam is likely to be held during July-August. Earlier, it was scheduled for June 24 to 29. The deadline for submission of applications has also been extended up to July 07.

The vacancies are at Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad. Admissions to all the Integrated First Degree programmes of BITS, Pilani, at Pilani campus, Goa campus, and Hyderabad Campus for the academic year 2021-19 will be made on the basis of a Computer-based Online Test conducted by BITS, Pilani.

Eligibility: 1. For admission to all the above programmes except B.Pharm.: 12th examination of 10+2 system with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and adequate proficiency in English. 2. For admission to B.Pharm.: 12th examination of 10+2 system with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and adequate proficiency in English.
Who are eligible? The candidate should have passed the 12th class examination of 10+2 system from a recognized central or state board or its equivalent with physics, chemistry and mathematics. For admissions to B.pharmacy, the eligibility criteria are physics, chemistry and biology in 12th class. These candidates may also apply for the pharmacy programme.
The candidates should have obtained a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology subjects in 12th class examination at least 60% marks in each of those subjects and possess adequate proficiency in English.
The admissions will be made only on his/her merit position based on the score obtained in BITSAT 2021. Students who are appearing for 12th class examination in 2021 or who have passed the 12th class examination in 2020 are eligible to appear for BITSAT 2021.
Those who are studying presently in any BITS campus are not eligible.
BITSAT 2021 Exam Pattern: BITSAT 2021 will be held for a total 3 hours duration. The test consists of four parts — Physics, Chemistry, English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning, and Mathematics or Biology (For BPharm candidates).

The prescribed fees for BITSAT-2021 is Rs.3400/-(2900/- for female candidates) options for payment of fees are given at the website. The candidates must note that the application process would be ending on May29, 2021. The candidates require to be passed in class 12 from a recognised college or board to apply for the entrance exam. The appearing candidates can apply but they would need a valid pass certificate from the Board before the session begins at the time of admission counselling.
