What is BITSAT?

BITSAT is a computer-based online entrance exam conducted by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, for admission to their integrated first-degree programmes, including BE, B.Pharm, and M.Sc.

The BITSAT exam is held once a year, usually in May or June. The exam tests candidates’ knowledge in subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English proficiency.

The exam is conducted online, and the duration of the exam is three hours. The question paper consists of 150 questions, and each correct answer fetches three marks, while one mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.

Eligibility Criteria for BITSAT 2024

• The candidate should have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• Candidates who have passed 10+2 with Biology instead of Mathematics are eligible only for the B.Pharm program.
• Candidates who have appeared for 10+2 or equivalent examination in 2024 are also eligible to apply.

BITSAT Exam Pattern:

BITSAT 2024 will be held for a total 3 hours duration. The test consists of four parts — Physics, Chemistry, English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning, and Mathematics or Biology (For BPharm candidates).

BITSAT Application Fee

Students who want to appear twice (Session 1 and Session 2) will have to pay Rs 5,400 (male candidate) and Rs 4,400 (female candidate).

Candidates who desire to appear once (either Session 1 or Session 2) need to pay an application fee of Rs 3,400 (male candidate) and Rs 2,900 (female candidate). The BITSAT 2024 application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
