All the District Educational Officers in the State informed that the Government of India is celebrating 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi from 2nd October 2018 to 2nd October 2019 and has been decided that the following activities may be organized under Mid Day Meal Scheme to celebrating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahama Gandhi –
Calendar of Activities
i. Organization of “Thithi Bhoj” on 02.10.2013 and 02.10.2019
ii. “Swachhta Drive” in kitchens for one week in each month) from 02.10.2018 to 02.10.2019
iii. “Cleanliness Drive” for kitchen sheds and utensils in the month of November 2018
iv. Efforts towards extensive “use of LPG” and reducing the use of firewood under Mid Day
Meal Scheme during the month of December 2018
In this regard, they are requested to conduct the above activities during the given period and finish the report and the details in the given proforma on a monthly basis by of every month.

I am directed to say that the Government of India is celebrating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi from 2nd October 2018 to 2nd October 2019. It has been decided that the following activities may be organized under the Mid Day Meal Scheme to celebrate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi:
i. The organization of Tithi Bhoon 02.10.2018 02.10.2019
ii. Swachhta Drive’ in kitchens for one week in each month) from 02.10.2018 to 02.10.2019
iii. ‘Cleanliness Drive for kitchen sheds and utensils in the month of November, 2018
iv. Errors use of LPG and reducing the use of wood under Mid Day Meal Scheme during the month of December, 2018
It is requested that the States and UI’s may kindly forward the calendar of activities to this Department by 5th October 2018. It is further requested that necessary action may also be initiated immediately for organizing the above activities and furnish report thereof on a monthly
basis by 5th of every month
