CAT Result 2023 or CAT Scorecard 2023 will be released by the Indian Institute of Management, IIM on its official website, iimcat.ac.in. Candidates who appeared the Common Admission Test can check details and download result from the web portal.
CAT is an MBA entrance examination would be conducted in the name of Common Admission Test for admission into IIMs in India. IIM Bangalore successfully conducted the CAT exam on November 27, 2022 in computer-based mode.
The CAT score card will have section-wise scaled scores, total score, and percentile scores. IIM CAT results are declared in January 03. All the appeared candidates can check their scores on the official website. Candidates who had appeared for the CAT exam can download their score card online. Candidates will have to login using their registration ID and password to download their scorecard.
CAT is a prerequisite for admission to various Post Graduate and Fellow programmes of IIMs. CAT scores are allowed to be used by listed non-IIM member institutions. A list of such institutions is provided on the CAT website. IIMs have no role in the selection process of non-IIM institutions. The CAT score is valid only till December 31, 2023.

How to check the IIM CAT Result 2023
Indian Institute of Management, IIM Ahmedabad has released the CAT result of the MBA entrance examination on the official website. Candidates who have appeared the Common Admission Test, CAT can check details and download the result from the official website using login details. For checking the results, fallow the given simple steps.

CAT appeared candidates need to visit the official website iimcat.ac.in.
- Click on Result Link
Once you reach the official website, click on the Result link activated on the home page.
- Enter Login Credentials
After clicking on the result link, a new window that opens, enter the username and password and click on the submit button.
- Download Result
On submitting the same, the results will be displayed on the screen. Download and take print out of the same for future use.
CAT examination was conducted on the notified date at test centres spread across 153 cities by Indian Institute of Management – Indore. This year, over 2 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam at various centres across the country.
The exam was of three hours. There were three sections – verbal ability and reading comprehension, data interpretation and logical reasoning, quantitative ability. Student got 60 minutes to complete each section and they had to complete one section before proceeding to the next.

CAT scores to be accepted by JNU: The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has recently announced that the scores of Common Admission Test (CAT) will be accepted by the varsity from its July session. The programme will be offered through the newly-announced School of Management and Entrepreneurship.
Selection procedure of CAT: The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) followed by Personal Interviews (PI) round. All the selected candidates will get admission in around 20 IIM institutes established in various parts of the nation.
Normalisation of CAT scores: In order to ensure fairness and equity in comparison of performances of the candidates across different test sessions, the scores of the candidates shall be subjected to a process of ‘Normalisation’.
The ‘Normalisation’ process shall adjust for location and scale differences of score distributions across different forms. After normalisation across different forms, the scores shall be further normalised across different sections. Admission to the two year post graduate programmes in IIMs are on merit, based on a rigorous selection process comprising of Personal Interview, Written Ability Test/Group Discussions, and scores in the Common Admission Test which is commonly known as CAT. CAT is a management aptitude test conducted by the IIMs primarily to evaluate and shortlist candidates for the post graduate programme. It is a computer-based exam and a candidate has to register and apply following due process to take this exam conducted once a year.
Percentile calculation
CAT Exam is evaluated as per a set criteria. In this, raw scores are calculated that are then scaled and normalised as per the Scaled Score Calculation, according to the exam rules by IIM Ahmedabad. For this, the score obtained by a candidate in a particular section is taken and then normalised against the maximum score in that section. In the end, it is seen across the slot and then ranked in terms of percentile.
