CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2025 download from cbse.gov.in

Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2025 Term 2 has been released on its web portal, https://www.cbse.gov.in/cbsenew/cbse.html.

The board would be examining 50% syllabus as per the revised assessment criteria in November-December.

Papers in MCQ format, would be conducted at the schools and would begin from December 1 for Major Subjects.

Check out the complete timetable below. Students, please note that the marks of the various subjects will be based on 50% of the total theory marks.

All papers will be 2 hours long but contain a different number of questions that students must attempt. However, all questions will carry the same marks. There is no negative marking. Also, the date sheet only for the Major Subjects has been released.

Students would be required to fill out the OMR Sheets. CBSE is introducing what is referred to as an OMR+IMR sheet. Each question would have 4 options, but OMR sheets would have 5 circles.

The fifth circle, or the correction circle, would be blank. If a student wishes to change the responses, he/she can cut the previously filled circle and write the alternative option in the fifth circle.

The CBSE board exam for 12th next year will not be divided into two terms but just one final exam. The board has also revised the syllabus. After holding the 12th exams on a reduced syllabus for nearly two years, CBSE will go back to 100 percent syllabus.

The board will return to a ‘rationalised’ syllabus. With the help of experts, the board will rationalize the syllabus once again. The exams will be held for 80 marks, as, since 2019, as many as 20 percent of marks are being awarded to internal assessments or practicals.

The practice will continue this year, too. For students’ benefit, there will be internal choices in the exam. CBSE announced in 2020 that it will offer as many as 33 percent more choices in board exams.

The CBSE board has also released the sample papers for board exam 2025 at the official website, cbseacademic.nic.in.

The Board issues Sample Question Papers (SQPs) and Marking Schemes for class XII to provide a broad template to guide ensuring uniformity and proper coverage of the curricula.

Further, SQPs give a broad understanding about the Question Paper Design and need to be used for classroom teaching and learning activities, focusing on promoting the application of concepts in real-life and holistic learning.
