5 lakhs Accidental Insurance to Transport Drivers,Home Guards,Working Journalists:
ORDER:
In pursuance to the announcement made by the Hon’ble Chief Minister on 1st May, 2015 on the eve of May Day Celebrations, Government of Telangana hereby orders for implementation of a Social Security scheme for “Transport Drivers / Home Guards / Working Journalists” in Telangana State of a coverage of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees five lakhs only) accidental insurance for which an amount of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees two lakhs only) will come from the Pradhana Mantri Surakhsha Bheema Yojana (PMSBY) Scheme and Rs.3,00,000/- (Rupees three lakhs only) from the State Government.
The entire cost of premium for Rs.5,00,000/- accidental insurance for beneficiary covered under the scheme shall be paid by the State Government.
- The Commissioner of Labour, Telangana, Hyderabad will be the Registering Authority and Claim Receiving Authority for “Transport Drivers”, the Home Department will be the Registering Authority and Claim Receiving Authority for “Home Guards” and the Commissioner, Information & Public Relations, Telangana, Hyderabad will be the Registering Authority and Claim Receiving Authority for “Working Journalists” for the Telangana State.
- The Commissioner of Labour, Telangana, Hyderabad / the Home Department / the Commissioner, Information & Public Relation, Telangana, Hyderabad shall take further necessary action to formulate scheme & guidelines in the matter accordingly.
- The Commissioner of Labour, Telangana, Hyderabad shall select the insurance agency for Accidental Insurance of “Transport Drivers / Home Guards / Working Journalists” for Rs.3,00,000/- (Rupees three lakhs only) coming from the State Government through competitive bidding. He shall submit budgetary proposals to Government on this account by 30th May, 2015.
- This order issues with the concurrence of Finance (EBS-III) Department vide their U.O.No.4061/147/A2/EBS.III/2015, Dated: 18.05.2015.
