TS Medical Reimbursement Scheme 2021: One lakh for Covid-19 Treatment

The Department of Medical Health has issued orders to reimburse Rs.1 lakh under Covid treatment to all government employees as well as retired employees. It applies to all employees, retirees and their family members who are hospitalized during emergencies. Department clarified that the treatment cost limit is not less than Rs.1,00,000/-.

Medical Reimbursement for COVID-19 Treatment for all the Telangana employees: The Telangana Medical and Health Department has issued orders providing medical reimbursement facility for Corona to be treated in any hospital (no referral hospital required).

Government of Telangana, Health Department, DME has given Clarification on sanction of medical reimbursement claim for COVID-19 treatment for all the employees both serving as well as retired State Government employees by Cir. Memo.No.5164, Dated: 18-01-2021 in the reference of (1) U.O.No.8346/Ser.1/A1/2020, Dated.31.to.2020 of the Home (Ser.l) Department. and (2). From the Director of Medical Education, Hyderabad No.46363/MA/2020. dt:27.11.2020

In the reference cited, the Home (Ser.l) Department have requested clarification on sanction of medical reimbursement claim for COVID-19 treatment for all State Government employees both serving as well as retired. 2. In the reference 2nd cited, the Director of Medical Education, Hyderabad has furnished his remarks in the matter.

After careful examination of the matter, it is clarified that at para 7 of amendments issued in G.O.Ms.No.105, HM&FW (Kl) Department, Dtd.09.04.2007, it is mentioned that the State Government employees both in service and retired and their dependents and all other eligible categories are allowed to secure treatment under emergency cases.

Hence, ail the State Government employees as well as retired employees and their dependents, who are admitted as in-patient for COVID-19 treatment are eligible for medical reimbursement claim, if they are admitted in the hospital In emergency condition. The ceiling limit for this treatment is limited to (One lakh only). 4. All the Departments are requested to take action accordingly.

Telangana Govt extends reimbursement and health schemes for employees . Telangana government has issued orders extending the Reimbursement and Employees Health Schemes till September 30. The Health, Medical and Family Welfare department in an order said that in November last year, orders were issued for implementing the schemes for reimbursement and employees health up to March 31, 2021.

The GO 79 issued by the government after examination of the matter has extended both the schemes to be run in the same manner till September 30, 2021. TS Medical Reimbursement Scheme Extended, Medical Reimbursement Scheme along with EHS is extended up to March 2018/ Medical reimbursement and EHS to run in parallel up to March 2018.

2.  In the reference 13th and 14th, read above, Government have issued comprehensive guidelines for providing cashless and qualitative treatment to the State Government Employees, Pensioners and their dependent family members and establishment of (14) Wellness Centers for Medicines / Drugs for outpatient investigation to the State Government Employees, Pensioners, Working and Retired and their dependent family members.  Though these orders are issued and the scheme has not commenced in full shape. 

3. Accordingly, the Government after careful examination hereby extended both the schemes of reimbursement and the employee’s Health Scheme to run in parallel up to March 2018 or till further orders, whichever is earlier.
