IIIT Hyderabad UGEEE, International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Hyderabad has begun the application process for its Undergraduate Engineering Entrance Examination (UGEEE). IIIT Hyderabad will conduct a computer-based entrance test for selection of students for admission to the dual degree programmes. Students who clear the computer-based test will be called for a personal interview. The final shortlist for admission is prepared solely on the basis of a student’s performance in the interview.
IIIT Hyderabad Undergraduate Programs:
International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H) invites applications for admission to Dual degree (Bachelors and Masters ) programmes for the academic year 2019-20.
Dual degree programmes (Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)/ Master of Science (MS) by Research): ECD, CSD, CLD, CND, CHD.
Duration of the programme: 5 years.
Eligibility:
Class 12 or equivalent qualifying Examination with an aggregate of 60% marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
Selection Process:
Applicants in this mode need to appear for a computer-based, undergraduate entrance examination (UGEE) both conducted by IIIT-H. UGEE will be held on 28.04.2019 across multiple cities. This exam has two sections- Subject Proficiency Test (SUPR) and Research Aptitude Test (REAP).
The IIIT entrance test has two components:
Subject Proficiency Test (SUPR)
Research Aptitude Test (REAP)
Duration of exam:
Subject Proficiency test (SUPR) will be of 60 minutes duration
Research Aptitude Test (REAP) will be of 120 minutes
The syllabi for SUPR and REAP are based on XI and XII level of Physics/ Maths/ Chemistry (CBSE and most state syllabi). REAP will have an emphasis on testing the critical and creative thinking abilities of an applicant.
UGEEE: The UGEEE is conducted for admission dual degree programmes offered by IIIT Hyderabad. This should not be confused with 4-year programmes, admission to which is through JEE Main score only. Students, who complete dual degree programmes, earn a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree and a Master of Science (MS) by Research degree. IIIT Hyderabad offers five dual degree programmes.
