IOCL Apprentices Posts: IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2023 notification released on its official website, iocl.com. Indian Oil Corporation Limited, IOCL is inviting applications from the eligible and interested candidates to apply for Apprentice posts.

The last date to apply for the post is till 28 Aug 2023 . This Fresh recruitment drive would fill up 480 posts in the organization. The technical and non-technical trade apprentices will have to work in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry, and Telangana. All those willing to apply must note that they will mandatorily need to be registered as trade apprentices online at the government website of apprenticeship India.

“Fresher apprentice” means a non-graduate apprentice, who has not undergone any institutional training or skill training, before taking up on-the-job training or practical training under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Read below for eligibility, selection process, and other details.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates can check the educational qualification for different trade or discipline in the Detailed Notification. The age limit of a candidate should be between 18 years to 24 years as on November 30.

Duration of Apprentice Training

  • For all disciplines: 12 months
  • For Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Fresher Apprentices) & Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Skilled Certificate Holders): 15 months

Selection Process

  • The selection process includes a written test. The written test shall be of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ’s) consisting of 4 options with one correct option.
  • The candidate has to choose the correct option. There shall be 100 questions in the Written Test and Total marks shall be 100. Each correct answer shall carry 1 mark.

Selection Process for IOCL Trade Apprentice posts: The selection of a candidate will be on the basis of the performance of the candidates on the basis of marks obtained by them in the Written Test. The written test will be conducted with Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions(MCQ’s) consisting of four options. Candidates can check for more related details from the official site of IOCL.

Selection Process for IOCL Apprentice Posts: Selection shall be on the basis of performance of the candidates on the basis of marks obtained by them in the Written Test (Duration 90 Minutes) and meeting notified eligibility criteria. The written test will comprise of 100 questions with Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) consisting of four option with one correct option. The questions would be in bilingual i.e. English & Hindi.

The written test will be conducted at Chandigarh, Jaipur, Lucknow and New Delhi. Upon completion of the Apprenticeship period the Corporation shall have no obligation to offer employment to such apprentices nor can an Apprentice claim right for employment on the grounds of completion of Apprenticeship. Scheme of Exam:

The Written Test will comprise of 100 questions and will be of 90 minutes duration. The written test will mainly comprise of objective type multiple choice (MCQ’s) questions. The questions would be in bilingual i.e. English and Hindi.

Trade Apprentice Accountant:
Generic Aptitude including Quantitative Aptitude – 30 Marks
Reasoning Abilities – 30 Marks
Basic English Language Skills – 40 Marks

Trade Apprentice (Fitter/Electrician/Electronics Mechanic/Instrument Mechanic/Machinist) & Technician Apprentice (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation/Civil/Electrical & Electronics/Electronics):
Technical Acumen in relevant discipline – 40 Marks
Generic Aptitude including Quantitative Aptitude – 20 Marks
Reasoning Abilities – 20 Marks
Basic English Language Skills – 20 Marks

The written test will assess a candidate’s general aptitude, reasoning ability, basic English language skills, and in case of Technical Apprentice, it will also test their ‘technical acumen in the relevant discipline’.

Qualify Marks:

The candidates will have to secure a minimum of 40% marks in written test to qualify for selection process. The minimum qualifying marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories against reserved positions is 35%.

The verification of the original documents shall be done at the time of conduct of Personal Interview.

Apprenticeship training: Apprenticeship training will be carried for 12 months. The date of written test and personal interview for all disciplines will be informed to the candidates on it.

i. The candidate must have an active email ID and Mobile Number which must be valid for at least next one year. All future communication including Corrigendum/ Addendum with regard to this advertisement with candidate will take place only through www.iocl.com / e-mail / SMS Alerts.

ii. The candidate should have the relevant documents / certificates pertaining to age, qualification, caste, scanned copy of color photograph and signature in jpg format (size not exceeding 50 KB) etc. ready before applying on-line

iii. The candidate must ascertain the correctness of all information before filling in the ‘Online Application Form’ and its final submission. The candidate shall be wholly/exclusively responsible for the information provided in his/her online application form.

iv. After successfully applying/registration of Online Application, the candidate must take a print out of the filled in online application for future reference.
