The Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test 2021 or KARTET 2021 notification has been released by the centralised admission cell (CAC). The KARTET application form is out and interested candidates can apply before deadline at the official website, schooleducation.kar.nic.in.

The exam will be held on August 22, 2021. KARTET test will be of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark. There will be no negative marking. The exam will be held in two papers those who clear paper 1 will be eligible to teach in classes 1 to 5 and those who qualify paper II will be eligible to teach classes 6 to 8.

The application fee for General category candidates is ₹ 700 for one paper and ₹ 1000 for both papers. For SC, ST, and CI category candidates, the application fee is ₹ 350 for one paper and ₹ 500 for two papers. Differently-abled candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.

KARTET, like all other teacher eligibility tests held in the country, will be held for two papers – Paper I for primary classes and Paper II for lower primary classes. Exam for paper I will begin at 9:30 am and conclude at 12 noon. Paper II will begin at 2 pm and conclude at 4:30 pm.

The Teacher Eligibility TET, TET exam will be objective in nature. Both papers will have 150 Multiple Choice Questions carrying 1 mark each. The questions will cover topics from Child Development and Pedagogy, language, Mathematics, Environmental Science, and Social Studies.

Steps to apply for KARTET 2021

  • Open any internet browser of your choice and visit www.schooleducation.kar.nic.in.
  • On the homepage, you will see an option for registering yourself. Complete the registration form by filling in all relevant details. Once done, you will get your login ID and password.
  • Go back to the homepage and click on the hyperlink that reads, “Online Application for Karnataka Teachers Eligibility Test – 2021″
  • You will be directed to a new page wherein you will have to enter your login using the ID and password.
  • Fill the application form with all the details asked and attach relevant documents in the format prescribed.
  • Pay the fees and cross-check everything in the form
  • Hit the submit button.

Eligibility: For paper I applicant should have minimum qualification of PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in final year of twp-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in final year or fourth year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in final year of two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR Graduation with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education

For Paper II application should have – Graduation with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in final year of four- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR

Passing marks: To clear the exam, candidates need to secure 60 per cent marks while for SC, ST candidates the same is 55 per cent. Previous, the validity period of KARTET qualifying certificate will be for seven years from the date of declaration of its results. Now, KARTET certificate validity is life time. There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a KARTET certificate.

Karnataka TET hall ticket: Centralised Admission Cell (CAC), Office of the Commissioner of public instruction, Bangalore would release the Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) hall ticket on the official website. The candidates who have registered for the exam may download their KARTET hall ticket from School Education department website and appear for the examination at the given Centre.

Karnataka TET Answer Key: The CAC will release the answer keys of the Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) on its official website. The exam was held in two shifts morning and afternoon. The morning shift will begin from 9:30 am and the afternoon shift will begin from 2 pm.

Candidates can download their own OMR sheet and file objections to the answers keys by entering their respective application number and date of birth. The candidates will be awarded 1 mark per correct answer; there is no negative marking.
