The government of the TS School Education Department issued a TS TET notification. Candidates who intend to be teachers for classes I to VIII in schools in Telangana State applied through the prescribed format at its official website.
Telangana State Eligibility Test (TSTET) is a State-Level Examination Conducted to Certify the Eligibility of candidates to be appointed as teachers at Primary and Upper Primary levels. According to NCTE Norms, the TSTET Exam must be conducted for at least a year.
The TSTET Exam is Divided into two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. As per the Exam Pattern, Candidates aspiring to become teachers of classes 1-5 need to Pass Paper 1, whereas those who want to become teachers of classes 6-8 need to Pass Paper 2.

Candidates belonging to general category shall have to score 60% and above for being declared as pass. Similarly, it is 50% and above for BC category and 40% and above for SC/ST/ Differently abled category candidates. ‘TS-TET Certificate / Marks Memo shall be valid for life time from the date of TET examination in accordance with NCTE Guidelines.’
Teachers who were appointed before NCTE notification, dated 23.08.2010 on selection by District Selection Committee or by the competent authority in Govt. / Local Authority as per Recruitment rules prevalent at that time was exempted from appearing TET Exam.
