The attention of all the District Educational Officers in the State is invited to the subject cited above and they are informed that Mana TV KU- Band has been in operation since 2001, and exclusively Education TV of the Telangana Government, wherein School Education Department is a major participating agency. Mana TV lessons for Teachers.
Two channels have been allocated for TV lessons. Channel-I (interactive lessons) and channel-II (pre-recorded lessons). A total of 5 TV lessons are being transmitted through these two channels. Two interactive lessons, 3 pre-recorded lessons are being telecast on every working day from Monday to Saturday for students and teachers of Class VI to X and D.Ed., B.Ed. Language Pandit trainees & in-service teachers.
It is a good opportunity for them for quality learning. Each lesson is an innovative one and consist of PowerPoint presentation, animation pictures, graphics, audio, video clippings, experiments, activities and related downloads from the internet. There will be a concretization of abstract concepts by these lessons.
A toll-free number 1800-425-4038 is available to get the clarifications on their doubts instantly by the trainees, students and teachers from the presenter in the studio. This toll-free number is scrolled on TV while watching the live lessons.
The time schedule and day wise/subject – wise telecast of lessons are given below:
Channel-I (interactive)
10.00 AM to 10.45 AM for Teacher Education
(D. Ed., B.Ed., in-service teachers).
01.45 PM to 02.30 p.m. for School Education (Class Vl-X).
Channel-II (Pre-recorded):
10.15 AM to 10.45 AM & 10.45 AM to 11.15 AM for School Education.
2.00 PM to 2.30 PM for Teacher Education.
To access these Mana TV lessons. ROTs (Receive-Only-Terminal) shall be installed in all High Schools. ROT consists of a Dish Antenna, a set-top-box, and a TV set.
Therefore, all the DEOs are requested to bestow their personal attention to installing ROTs in all Management High Schools and popularise the time schedule of Mana TV lessons and the toll-free number and issue necessary instructions to Head Masters of High schools to display toll-free number and time schedule on the notice board.
