PJTSAU, Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University is the only farm university in the state of Telangana and is responsible for education, research and extension in Agriculture and allied fields.
The Telangana Agricultural University imparts instruction leading to the Master’s degree courses in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering and Community Science-formerly Home Science at its constituent Colleges in Hyderabad, Jagtial and Sangareddy.

Eligibility for PG Course Admission:
Qualification for TS Agriculture PG Courses Admission 2020: Candidates seeking admission into any of the following Master’s Degree courses must have passed the relevant 4 years Bachelor’s Degree examination specified against each course from Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University or an institution accredited by ICAR.
The applicants who appeared for ICAR AIEEA (PG) 2020 (ICAR entrance examination 2020) are only eligible for admission into PG Course of PJTSAU.
For admission into Master’s courses, the candidates must have secured a minimum OGPA of 5.50 / 10.00 (SC/ST-5.00/10.00) or 2.50 / 4.00 (SC / ST – 2.00 / 4.00) or 50% marks in traditional system (SC / ST-40%)in the qualifying examination
Age Limit: The upper age limit for admission is 40 years as on 1 st July, 2020.

Reservations for candidates: Reservation of seats in favour of Local / Non – Local candidates shall be as per rules mentioned in the Appendix.
Reservation for SC/ST and BC candidates :15%, 6% and 29% of the seats in each course of study, in each faculty shall be reserved for the candidates belonging to SCs, STs and BCs respectively.
3% seats in each course are reserved for physically challenged candidates as per Government norms.
Note: As it is not possible to represent all social groups in a single major filed in courses with more than one major field, candidates belonging to different social groups shall be distributed in different major fields of study available in such courses.
Criteria for Selection: The selection shall be based on the previous academic record at Under Graduate level and performance in the entrance test conducted by ICAR through AIEEA (PG) 2020 and the weightage will be in the ratio of 30:70.

The candidates who have appeared for the entrance test in a major subject group will not be permitted to interchange to any other major subject group. The identified subject groups only will be considered for admissions.
Based on the overall merit rank, the candidate will be allowed to take admission in a specific sub-subject (discipline) at PJTSAU as per the choice of the candidate and the availability of seat at that merit rank through an offline counselling process.
Male candidates are also eligible for admission into M.Sc. (Community Science-formerly Home Science) in Foods & Nutrition Course.
In case of SC/ST candidates, there are no qualifying marks to the extent of seat reserved for them.
Weightage of 5 Marks at Degree Level: Weightage to a maximum of 5 marks as indicated below will be given subject on productions of certificates for achievements in NCC / NSS / Sports / Games / Cultural / Literary activities at B.Sc. level.:
Participation certificates will not be considered.

Inter University Level – 1 mark
TIE: In case of a tie, the candidates who has secured more marks at the Under Graduate level will be preferred. In case of a further tie, the date of birth of the candidates will be considered and the older candidate will be preferred.
Merit List for Agriculture PG Admissions: The merit list of eligible candidates shall be displayed on the University Notice Board and also be placed on University website.
Agriculture PG Admission Counselling: The Admission counselling will be held at the University Auditorium, Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad on the specified date.
Original Certificates: The selected candidates will have to have to submit necessary original certificates, pay the prescribed fee in full and secure the admission at the allotted colleges. Failure to do so, will entail forfeiture of claim for a seat. The applicant should bring the originals of the uploaded certificates to the Counselling Centre at the time of allotment of seat.
Registration Date: The date of registration will be announced on the counselling day.

Certificates required for applying: Only copies of the following documents shall be enclosed to the application. (Documents enclosed to the application will not be returned. Hence, candidates are advised to enclose only copies of the certificates)
Admit Card: e-Admit Card of AIEEA(PG) 2020 (ICAR-Entrance Marks / Rank) issued to qualified candidates.
Degree MEMO: Memoranda of marks (all years) obtained at the qualifying Under Graduate level examination or transcript.
Degree Certificate: Provisional / degree certificate of the qualifying examination.
Study certificates: Study certificates from Heads of recognized educational institutions from VI class onwards. (Those who appeared for any examination by private study should enclose residence certificate.)
Caste Certificates: Social Status Certificates issued by the competent authority, in case of candidates belonging to BC / SC / STs. The admission given under this quota shall be provisional till the genuineness of the social status claim of the candidate is certified by the respective Directorate of the Government.
Achievements: Certificate regarding achievements at B.Sc. level in NCC / NSS / Sports / Games / Cultural / Literary activities at International / Inter-State / Inter-University level, if applicable.
DOB: Date of birth certificate
PHC: Certificate of physical disability, if any
Residence: Residential Certificate (Latest certificate issued by the Telangana Government).
AADHAAR: Aadhaar Card or 28-digit Aadhaar Enrolment ID proof or Passport or Ration card or Bank Passbook or any other valid Govt. Identity proof.
Bonafide certificate: Conduct/ Bonafide certificate from the Head of the institute last attended.
Originals of the above certificates shall be submitted only at the time of admission. The above said list of original certificates must be kept ready by the candidates for the purpose of verification at the time of counselling/selection.
Additional Certificates To Be Submitted At The Time Of Admission: Candidates who are selected for admission should submit the following certificates/ documents in original at the time of admission in addition to the originals of the certificates listed above.
Migration: Migration certificate if the candidate has passed from an University other than PJTSAU.
TC: Transfer Certificate from the College / Institution where the candidate last attended.
Submit Printed Application:
Submission Of Hard Copy Of Application: A computer-generated hard copy of the online application filled-in correctly and complete in all respects including payment of fee should be downloaded and sent through by Speed Post only so as to reach The Registrar, Administrative Office, Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad – 500 030 on or before 27.10.2020 at 4.00PM.
Applications received after the due date will not be considered. If any of the required certificate are not enclosed, the online application liable to be rejected summarily.
The candidates who fail to submit provisional/degree certificate of qualifying examination will not be allowed for the counselling. The applicant is informed that mere submission of an online application does not guarantee allotment of seat.
Details of the amount of fees payable at the time of admission are furnished at Annexure II. Students selected for admission shall pay the entire fees at the time of counselling itself.
Other fees for certificates etc. will be common for both UG & PG courses. The Selected candidates shall pay the entire fee at the time of admission on the day of counselling itself.

Financial assistance: The University does not offer any financial assistance to the post-graduate students. However, the post-graduate students may avail the financial assistance either in the shape of stipends or long term loans, if offered by government or any other agencies on such terms and conditions as prescribed by the respective agencies.
If a particular course is offered in more than one college, allotment of students to a college shall be based on the merit and availability of seat. The students should necessarily complete the course and research work related to the Master’s programme in the college where they have been admitted. Students admitted to M.Tech. (Agril. Engg.) degree programme in Soil and Water Engineering shall be under the administrative and technical control of Associate Dean, College of Agricultural Engineering, Kandi, Sangareddy.
The student should not register for any other degree/diploma programme concurrently on regular or part-time basis either in this University or in any other University/Educational Institution.
The candidate who has been admitted in the Master’s programme at PJTSAU but does not complete the requirements or withdraws from the course for not maintaining minimum OGPA will have to apply again by re-appearing for Entrance exam conducted by ICAR in the subsequent year and seek admission afresh. However, the stipend if any paid earlier shall be recovered in full from the candidate.
The candidature of applicants who have obtained their Master’s degree in one discipline and apply for admission in a different discipline will not be considered.
All admissions shall be deemed as provisional and subject to further scrutiny. The admission shall be liable for cancellation without notice at any stage during the study period of the students if it is found that the admission was in any way repugnant to the rules/regulations or invalid by reason of incorrect or false information furnished by the applicants or their parents/guardians at the time of admission.
Any cancellation of admission shall not exclude penal action under the relevant criminal law.
The University reserves to itself the right to vary or cancel any of the rules without notice. Hostel accommodation shall be provided subject to availability.
The applicants who who have appeared for ICAR AIEEA (PG) 2020 / ICAR AICE – JRF/SRF (PhD) 2020 entrance examination are only eligible for admission into PJTSAU..
The applicants should note that the admissions will be made as per the relevant government orders applicable at the time of admission. Only Online application will be accepted. No application will be accepted in any other format and will be summarily rejected.
It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to ensure that he/she fulfils the specified eligibility in to before submitting the online application.

Instructions for Online Application submission
Documents to be scanned and uploaded: Necessary documents to be scanned before going to submission of application. The documents to be uploaded should be scanned in png/jpg/jpeg/PDF formats only and should not exceed 1MB file size.
The applicant should keep scanned copies of all documents ready before proceeding to apply online.
The scanned passport size (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) photograph of the applicant should be in JPEG format not exceeding 1 MB file size. The applicant’s signature should be scanned in JPEG format of [3.5 cm x1.5 cm] not exceeding 1 MB file size.
Request for any change in particulars once given in the application will not be entertained.
The applicant should enable “background graphics” in print option before taking a print of the uploaded application form.
If an applicant has been found to have furnished wrong information or deliberately suppressed any relevant information or uploaded improper documents, his/her application will be summarily rejected.
The University is not responsible, for any discrepancy in Bio-data particulars while submitting the application form through online. The applicants are therefore advised to strictly follow the instructions in their own interest before submitting the applications.
Incomplete / Incorrect application form will be summarily rejected. If any lapse is detected during the scrutiny, the candidature will be rejected even if he/she comes through the final stage of selection.

How to Apply for TS Agriculture PG Courses Admission 2020
The candidate has to visit the official website: www.pjtsau.edu.in
Fill the OTR (onetime registration) application form with his/her or parent’s mobile number and avoid using any other mobile number.
The applicant should use only Chrome/Firefox browsers while filling the online application form.
The applicant should furnish all the details while filling the Online Application Form and the applicant is advised to save the application in draft mode/form until final submission.
After successful submission of application and payment of fee, the application in PDF format will be generated which will contain the application no. and other particulars furnished by the candidate.
The application number so generated shall be used for future reference. The applicant will be able to download and print the application form.
What next after submission of application form?
A computer-generated hard copy of the filled-in online should be downloaded and sent by Speed Post only, so as to reach The above said address on or before 27-10-2020 at 4.00 PM. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay or loss of application during transit.
