The Indian railways have issued notification for recruitment 2023 of Para Medical Staff for its Railway Hospital in its Southern Railway department. The Recruitment of Para-Medical staff GOC will be on a contractual basis for their Headquarters Railway Hospital, Perambur, Chennai. (Designated Hospital for managing COVID-19) on contract basis for a period up to 30 September.

Eligibility Criteria for Southern Railways Recruitment 2023: Nursing Superintendents – Certified as a Registered Nurse & Midwife having passed 03 years course in General Nursing and Midwifery from School of Nursing or other Institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council or B.Sc(Nursing) for candidates up to the age of 20 to 40 years can apply
Physiotherapist – Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized University and Two years practical experience in Physiotherapy from the Government/ Private Hospital with at least one hundred beds.

Central Railway Paramedical Staff Recruitment 2023: Central Railway has issued a notification for engagement of contract paramedical staff in Group C as staff nurse, pharmacist, Lab Technician and X-ray technician on full-time basis for three months for Covid-19 ward at DRH BSL. Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) invite ONLINE applications from eligible candidates for vacancies for the posts of PARA-MEDICAL STAFF like Staff Nurse, Health & Malaria Inspector, Pharmacist, ECG Technician, Lab Assistant, Lab Superintendent, etc. The opening date of registration of online applications is 04.03.2019 – RRB/CEN 02/2019.

Railway Recruitment Board has invited candidates who have applied for Paramedical Recruitment 2023 exam to view their application status. The Computer Based Test or CBT for the recruitment is likely to begin in the second week of July 2019. RRB is conducting the recruitment drive to fill a total of 1937 vacancies. The recruitment process in the RRB exam is fully computerized and the selection is based upon the merit of candidates. RRB Paramedical Staff Recruitment 2023 : Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released the official advertisement CEN 02/2019 for the paramedical vacancies across the various RRBs online. The application process has also begun and the last date to apply is April 2. There are total of 1937 vacancies for posts including Dietician, Staff Nurse, Dental Hygienist, Optometrist, dialysis technician, health and malaria inspector grade III, lab superintendents, physio therapist etc.
Application fee: For all candidates except the fee Concession categories, the application fee is Rs.500. Out of this fee of Rs.500/- an amount of Rs.400/- shall be refunded to their bank account duly deducting bank charges, on appearing in CBT. For candidates belonging to SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / PwBDs / Female / Transgender / Minorities / Economically backward class This fee of Rs.250/- shall be refunded to their bank account duly deducting bank charges as applicable, on appearing in CBT.
Selection Process: There will be recruitment test in CBT mode which will be of 90 minutes carrying 100 marks. Shortlisting of candidates for Document Verification will be made strictly on merit based on the performance of the candidate in the CBT.
The notification further reads, “Candidates called for Document Verification will have to pass the requisite medical fitness test(s) conducted by the Railway Administration to ensure that the candidates are medically fit to carry out the duties connected with the post(s) opted by them. Visual Acuity Standard is one of the important criteria of medical fitness of Railway staff.
Education qualification: For most of the posts, candidates need to have a graduation degree while for 3 posts, candidates need to have done their intermediate from science stream with a relevant diploma in the respective trade. For detailed information on education qualification, candidates are advised to check the official notification.
