SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2021, Apply online for 6100 Apprentice Posts. State Bank of India (SBI) has invited online applications for the recruitment of Apprentices. The interested candidates can apply online for the SBI Apprentices post through the official website of SBI sbi.co.in from 26-07-2021.
State Bank of India, SBI has released a notification for 6100 apprentice posts under the Apprentice Act 1961. Candidates would be selected on the basis of the performance in the test which is expected to be conducted in the month of August.
The training period would be for three years. Selected apprentices would be given a stipend of Rs.15,000 in the first year, 16,500 in 2nd year and Rs.19,000 per month in third year. SBI will conduct the online examination in August, 2021. The admit card for the same would be released in August 2021. SBI is conducting this recruitment drive to fill up 6100 vacancies for the Apprentice post in all states.
Anyone with a graduation degree from a recognized university or institute is eligible to apply for SBI Apprentice recruitment. The lower age limit is 20 years and upper age limit is 28 years.
Reserved category candidates will be provided relaxation on upper age limit as per Government of India regulations. The application will be accepted only in the online mode. There is no application fee involved. Candidates can apply using this direct link.
An apprentice after selection will receive ‘stipend of 70% of semi-skilled labour wages as applicable in the respective states as per the Apprentices Act or Rs.8000 per month whichever is higher’.
Eligibility for SBI Apprentice: Indian citizens who have completed their graduation as on October 31, 2020 are eligible to apply for the posts. Age limit prescribed for the posts if 20 years to 28 years, calculates as on 31 October 2020. Relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category as per the Government of India guidelines is applicable.
Age limit: The applicant’s age should be between 20 years and 28 years as on 31.08.2020. It may be noted that the maximum age indicated is for unreserved candidates. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.
Educational Qualification: Candidate should possess Graduation from a recognised University/ Institute. Candidates who want to apply for the post should have graduation degree from a recognized University/Institute. The minimum age to apply is 20 years and maximum age to apply is till 28 years as on August 31, 2020.
Duration: The duration of the training will be for one year.
Stipend/ Benefit: The apprentices are eligible for stipend of Rs15000 per month during 1st year, Rs16500 per month during 2nd year and Rs19000 per month during 3rd year. The apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances/ benefits
Exam Pattern of SBI Apprentice Posts: The examination for selection of Apprentices will be conducted in computer-based mode. The examination will be of one-hour duration and will have 100 questions carrying one mark each. The test will have four sections – General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude. Each section will have 25 questions. Each section will have a separate timing of 15 minutes.

Selection Process for SBI Apprentice: The selection for engagement of apprentices would be based on the basis of online written test and test of the local language. The online test will have 100 questions carrying 1 mark each.
The duration of the exam would be 1 hour. The subjects to be included in the test are General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The local language test includes Hindi, Punjabi language test for Haryana and Punjab state and only Hindi for Himachal Pradesh.
The duration of training is one year only. The apprentices are eligible for a stipend of 70% of semi-skilled labour wages as applicable in the respective states as per Apprentices Act or Rs.8000 per month whichever is higher.

- How much application fee for SBI Apprentice Recruitment?
Candidates who want to apply for the post will have to pay ₹300/- as application fees if belonging to General/ OBC/ EWS category. SC/ST/PWD category candidates will not have to pay anything for the post.
- What is the selection process for SBI Apprentice Recruitment?
Selection for engagement of apprentices would be based on the basis of (i) online written test and (ii) test of local language. The questions will be bilingual i.e., English & Hindi, except for the test of General English. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
