Southern India Science Fair 2020
Organizing science fairs will give students an early interest in science, technology and research. So, The central government should allocate more funds to conduct science fairs to promote research. Students also need to work hard to advance humanity through their research. No matter how educational or accommodating, Grow to a great level.
Born into a very poor family, Study hard, Growing Up as Missile Man, After that Such as the President of this country Dr APJ Abdul Kalam is inspirational to all of us.
SISF 2020 – Science fairs have been successful in drawing the attention of students towards science experimentation and encouraging them to learn science through experiments. Recognizing this important aspect the museum started organizing science fairs in the 1970s at the local level in Bangalore and the Fairs were very successful in attracting young students towards doing science as the fairs witnessed large participation.
In order to expand this activity to the zonal level and create a large canvas for widespread participation of students from different states in south India, a Meeting of Directors and Secretaries of Education Departments of the South Indian states was coordinated at VITM in Bangalore during 1982 and a resolution was adopted that SISF will be organized with the support of all the Six southern states on rotation basis with each state hosting the fair in their respective state once in every five years and the event will be coordinated by VITM Bangalore.
Since then the event has been successfully organized in the Six states and we are now in the SISF cycle with Govt of Tamilnadu hosting the fair in 2019-2020. The Southern India Science Fair 2020 is a joint venture of Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum, Bangalore and the Directorate of Public Instruction, Govt. of Tamilnadu with the support of Department of State Educational Research & Training Govt. of Tamilnadu and other SCERTs
The fair will have a representation of all the above-mentioned states with 50 Exhibits from each state selected from the respective state-level fair presented by the Students and Teachers.
The exhibit category is as follows:
- 15 Exhibits from Group category (2 students guided by 1 teacher),
- 20 Exhibits from Individual category (1 student guided by 1 teacher) and
