SRMJEEE 2021, Apply for SRMIST Joint Entrance Exam for admission to SRM University

SRM Institute of Science and Technology has released the SRMJEEE 2021 application form on its official website One can fill the application form through online mode. SRM JEE 2021 would be conducte for admission to BTech programmes offered by its campus.

SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination, SRMJEEE 2021 Phase 2 exam has been preponed. The examination, which was earlier scheduled for July 25 and 26, 2021, will now be conducted on June 29 and 30, 2021. The registration line is still open for the candidates. Those who have not completed their registration process can do so by June 20, 2021.

The online registration of the exam form have started from December 12, 2020 and the last date to fill the application form is May 15, 2021. A candidate will have to register online, verify their email address, fill up the details, upload all the required documents and pay the application fee to complete the process.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology Joint Entrance Exam (SRMJEE 2021) will be held in two phases. The first phase is scheduled for May 23 and 24 and registration for it will end on May 15. The second phase of SRMJEE 2021 will be held on July 29 and 30, and registration will be available up to July 20.

SRMJEEE will be a computer based Duration of the exam is 2 hour and 30 minutes. The exam comprises of 125 multiple choice questions of 125 marks. One mark will be provided for every correct answer. How to apply for SRMJEEE 2021:

Before applying take note of all the required documents for SRMJEEE and keep them handy: Class 10 marksheet, Class 12 marksheet, Coloured passport size photo, Scanned image of signature, Debit card, credit card or net banking details for e-payment cases

  • Register by submitting details like name, email ID and phone number
  • Get the email received from the authorities verified after registering for SRMJEEE successfully
  • After logging into the candidates portal and enter the required details in the SRMJEEE application form 2021 process.
  • Make the payment the fee in online mode
  • After the payment, upload scanned photos of photograph and candidate’s signature of per specified by authorities
  • Check the declaration box and your application is submitted

For candidates who will be submitting their application fee through Demand Draft (DD), you need to select the option ‘DD’ during the payment steps. They will have to pay Rs.1100 through Demand Draft and enter details such as bank name, draft number and date.

The exam is conducted for admitting students to BTech programmes offered at RM deemed university (Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Vadapalani)/SRMIST Chennai, SRM University, Sonepat, Haryana, and SRM University, Andhra Pradesh. The top 1,000 rank holders of JEE Main will be given direct admission to the SRM University.

The SRMIST has notified that SRMJEEE will be conducted in remote proctored online mode (RPOM). Here are some tips to get ready for this undergraduate engineering entrance test. There will be 3 slots in each of these phases. It is expected that SRMJEEE slot booking for phase 1 will start soon. Only those who apply by May 15 will be able to book the slot and download admit card.

Candidates who will qualify in JEE Main 2021 / SAT will directly get admission to SRM University. However, now that JEE Main 2021 has been postponed, cracking SRMJEEE can be an alternative. Hence, here are some tips and details that will help students ace the examination.

First of all, be familiar with the SRMJEEE Syllabus and complete it. In SRMJEEE, questions will be from Maths, Physics, Chemistry, English, and Aptitude. The syllabus of the exam is as per the class 12 level. It is prescribed by SRMIST and is available online at

The SRMJEEE is a remote proctored test, which means that the candidates need not appear at the exam centre and may take it from any place. In all, there shall be a total of 125 questions in the exam.

Around 35 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) will be asked from Physics and Chemistry, individually; and 40 questions shall be from Maths or Biology. In addition to this, 5 questions from English and 10 questions from Aptitude will also be asked in the exam. There is no negative marking and each correct answer shall fetch 1 mark.

To make the students familiar with the exam pattern of the entrance test, SRMIST will also release SRMJEEE mock tests. For SRMJEEE phase 1, the mock test will be held on May 20 and 21, 2021. Later for phase 2, the mock tests will be held on July 23 and 24, 2021.

Candidates must also try solving SRMJEEE sample papers. By doing so, candidates will get to know the exam difficulty level, the pattern marking scheme, etc.

To get the best SRMJEEE result, it is recommended that students solve questions from the NCERT books. Since the exam is based on the syllabus of class 12, candidates should prepare from the NCERT books of PCM. Complete the entire NCERT once and then practice. Students should try to get a habit of solving a variety of questions, candidates can also use form reference books such as RD Sharma, HC Verma, OP Tandon, etc.

SRMJEEE phase 1 result will be declared on May 27, 2021, and the phase 2 results will be available on July 29, 2021. The result will be declared online at The candidates who clear the entrance exam will move on to the counselling round and then the admission process.

Due to the pandemic, JEE Main 2021 has been postponed. The NTA has postponed the April and May session. This means that JEE Main 2021 admit card will also be released at a later stage. In this situation, students may take SRMJEEE and secure a seat in a BTech course.

For admission in to the B.Tech programs, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the SRMJEEE 2021 results. Successful candidates will be called to register for an online counselling process. After the process, allotment of seats to candidates for admissions to the courses will be offered by different campuses of SRMIST. The courses are offered in the SRMIST campuses including Chennai – Kattankulathur, Vadapalani, Ramapuram and NCR, Sonepat in Haryana and Andhra Pradesh.
