TGCET 2023 or TS Gurukul CET 2023 is a 5th Class common entrance test notification has been released by the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educations Society on behalf of Government of Telangana on its official website, http://tgcet.cgg.gov.in.
TGCET means Telangana Gurukul Common Entrance Test and it would be conducted every year to 4th class studying students for admission into 5th class in all Telangana Residential Schools i.e., Telangana Gurukulams.

For this, TSWREIS will release the TG Gurukul CET 2023 notification in the month of February for TS Gurukulam 5th class admission in all Telangana Gurukul Schools and applications will be invited from the eligible and interested class 4th studying students for admission into General, SC, ST, BC Gurukulams for the academic year 2023.
Now, only one Telangana Gurukulam 5th Class Joint Entrance Test 2023 would be conducted by TS Social Welfare Gurukul Society in every year for admissions into TS Residential Schools for SC, ST, BC and General category students.
TGCET 2023
This TGCET is a TS Residential Schools Admission Test, it would be conducted every year for 5th class admissions in TREIS, Social welfare, Tribal Welfare, BC Welfare Gurukuls. So, 5th class Entrance Test for all TSWREIS, TTWREIS, TREIS, TSBCWREIS Residential Schools.
For this year, TGCET Exam will be held in all District head quarters in the month of April. Government of Telangana, TSWREIS has released the 5th Class Common Entrance Test, TGCET for admission into fifth Class in TSWREIS, TTWREIS, MJPTBCWREIS and TREIS 21st Century Schools.
Interested parents who want to join their children can check details and submit the TGCET application on online mode at Gurukul CET website http://tgcet.cgg.gov.in as per the schedule.
TGCET hall tickets will be released after completion of registration process and result will be released after conduct of examination on its official website of TS GURUKUL CET.

After the formation of the state of Telangana, with the improvement of educational standards, the popularity of Gurukul educational institutions has increased tremendously. Due to the large number of applications for these admissions, admissions are given on the basis of merit by conducting entrance examinations.
This year too, the Residential Schools have decided to conduct the Common Entrance Test (CET) in the name of Telangana Gurukul CET and admit students under ‘KG to PG’ Mission. To this end, a detailed notification has been issued by Social Welfare Gurukul Society and applications have been received online.
As a part of the mission, applications are invited for admissions in 5th class English medium in Telangana Gurukul schools which are accredited to TREIS, Social welfare, BC welfare, Tribal welfare to give qualitative education to rural children to identify various hidden skills and to encourage motivate in those skills.
TS Gurukulam Vidyalayas are a group of schools formed by the Telangana Government to provide good quality modern education to the talented children from predominantly rural areas irrespective of their families socio-economic background According to State Education Policy under KG to PG Scheme.
The T Government Formed Gurukula Vidyalaya Societies i.e TSWREIS, TTWREIS, TSBCWREIS, TMREIS and TRIES under the School Education Department look after the routine functioning of these Gurukul schools i.e., TS SC, ST, BC, Minority and General Gurukul Schools. All the schools under the name of Gurukul Vidyalayas are residential and not co-educational.
The students are provided food, clothes and residential facility free of cost. The institution aims at inculcating in the students a strong value system and respect for Indian culture. It also strives to make the students proficient in three languages under the three-language formula.
The main objective behind these set of schools is to serve, in every district as the main points for improvement in the quality of school education in general through sharing of experiences and facilities. At present, there are 615 Gurukul Vidyalayas which are functioning at the district level.
The government is working towards extending this facility to the sub-divisional level. The schools under the KG to PG scheme are affiliated to Board of Secondary Education (BSE).
A special entrance examination is held for admission to Class V in all Gurukul Schools which are successfully running in English Medium under the auspices of Telangana Welfare Gurukul Vidyalaya Societies and Education Departments.

TGCET 2023 Notification
The State government has strengthened the foundations of the education system in the State, with international standards being provided free of cost to poor and backward class students.
Such has been the transformation in government educational institutions that parents are now eager to send their children to study in residential schools which are as competitive as corporate schools in terms of providing quality education.
While the number of students in private schools is decreasing, the number of students in Government Residential Schools is increasing. Students from our State are securing better ranks nationally in CAT, Medicine and Engineering admissions. While the total number of Residential Schools in 2014 was 298, the number had risen to 970 now which is an indication of the progress made in the field of education and the government was spending Rs.1 lakh a year on each student.

Eligibility Criteria for TG Gurukul CET
Age limit for TS Gurukulams 5th Class Common Entrance Test: Candidates should have born between 01/09/2011 to 31/08/2013 (Age between 9 to 11 years as on 01/09/2023 are eligible) and 2 years exemption for SC, ST candidates. i.e., Age between 9 to 13 years as on 01/09/2023 are eligible (Between 01/09/2009 to 31/08/2013).
Educational qualification for TGCET: The Students should be bonafide of Class IV during the academic year in any Government School or any recognized school of Telangana State. Income Limit: The Parental income for the year should not exceed Rs.1,50,000/- per annum for rural areas and should not exceed Rs.2,00,000/- for urban areas.
