Open School Admission for the 2021-2022 academic year under the aegis of Telangana Saarvathrika Vidyapeetham (TOSS) has extended till January 15. Candidates who have not yet taken admission to Open School and who are interested in admission to the 10th and Intermediate Courses in Distance Education mode should contact the Principals of the nearby Open School High Schools, Junior Colleges and the Principals with your necessary qualifications. Candidates who wish to gain admission should contact only the study centre coordinators.

Application Fees for TOSS Class 10 Admission registration: General candidates have to pay Rs.1000 /- and Women, SC / ST / BC / PwD / Minorities have to pay Rs.600 / – to join in the Telangana Open School Class 10 Admissions. There is a Registration charge is Rs.100 addition.
Application Fees for TOSS Inter Admission 2022 Registration: General candidates have to pay Rs.1100 /- and Women, SC / ST / BC / PwD / Minorities have to pay Rs.800 / – to join in the Telangana Open School Inter Admission. There is a Registration charge is Rs.200 addition.
TOSS Admission fee for SSC and Inter:
Admission fee payable for SSC and Inter as for the following. Do not pay any additional amount of money for admission other than specified.

For General Category Candidates: Rs.1300/-

Eligibility Criteria: (a) Age Limit for TOSS Admission: Candidates should have age limit 14 years by 2020 to join 10th class and 15 years to join Intermediate courses. There is no maximum age limit. So, there is no upper age limit for admissions. However, the student’s age limit should have completed 14 years as on 31st August 2021
(b) Educational qualification for TOSS Admission 2021: Qualifications: Writing and reading are required to join into 10th Class. Admission can be done with Birth Certificate issued by the Tehsildar those have not study in the past. Must have passed tenth class to join into Intermediate.
A. For 10th Class: No formal educational qualification but candidates should be completed 14 years are eligible.
B. For Intermediate: The candidates who have passed SSC/Secondary course and Intermediate /XII failed candidates of other Boards can join in Intermediate courses in their study centres. Science candidates should take admission in Junior Colleges only.

How to Apply for TOSS Admission 2022?
Candidates can enrol by uploading prescribed application form through MeeSeva /TS Online /AP Online centres. More details can be had from District Educational Officer or by visiting the official website www.telanganaopenschool.org.
So, Eligible Candidates can apply through online mode only. So, The filled in Application forms, after certified by the A.I Coordinator, register through Online at Meea Seva centre, by paying the requisite fee.
Submit the original copy of the application along with enclosures at the AI. Take the duplicate copy of the application to Mee Seva for updation through online. Take the Admission fee receipt and printout copy of the online Registered application form Mee Seva and preserve it for future reference.

TOSS ( Telangana Open School Society): The Telangana State government has established its own Open School Society for admission into SSC and intermediate various courses to be offered in the Open School Distance Education System. It is a great opportunity to drop out students to continue their education. The Telangana Open School Society has been dedicated for Telangana State only and TOSS will be for TS Open School admissions.
2. Great Opportunity to Students: TOSS will provide opportunities for continuing education to those who have missed opportunities to complete school and development education and to other children /persons desirous of pursuing school level education through open And distance learning (ODL) mode by offering courses and programmes of general education, life enrichment and vocational education up to pre-degree level.
3. TOSS Mission is Providing Educational Opportunity to all: The Open School Society provides educational opportunities to persons who wish to study further and qualify for a better tomorrow. The Mission of Open School is to provide education to all with special concern for girls, rural youth, working men and women, SC, STs, differently-abled persons
And others who for one reason or other could not continue their education up to Class XII with the formal system. It is offering SSC course from the year 2008-09 through recognised Accredited Institutions (Als) and Accredited Vocational Institutions (Is) commonly known as Study Centres under the control of the District Educational Officers
4. Features and flexibility in TOSS Courses: Age Limit: The minimum age is 14 years completed as on 31 August of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit for admission.
- The medium of Instruction: Can select any one of the mediums out of Telugu Urdu English and Oriya.
- Choice of Subject: Can choose any five subjects from the Group lists of Subjects in Scheme of Studies
- Additional Subject: The learner has the option to select one additional subject (sixth) at the time of admission as per requirement.
- Combination of Academic and Vocational Courses: In order to make the course more meaningful the loaner can select one Vocational Subject in combination with academic subjects at SSC level.
- Continuous Assessment: The learner can check his/her program every now and then through Tutor Marked Assignments (TMA) and Preparatory Examinations.
- The validity of Admission: Admission is valid for five years from the date of Registration
- Flexible Scheme of Examination: Public Examinations are held twice in a year. Nine examination chances are given in five years. Every year Public Examination will be held in March April and July / August
5. ODL Mode Education by TOSS: TOSS mission is providing pre-elementary Education through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode to School drop-outs and those missing Upper Primary stage of education and to attain Universalization of Elementary Education (UEE) in the State and provide continuing education for adult neo-literates, working men and women to reinforce their functional literacy and not to allow them to relapse into illiteracy.
6. TOSS Conducts annual, supplementary exams: The enrolled students have to appear for the examination conducted by TOSS. There will be separate study material and examination pattern for open school system candidates. The degrees will be considered on par with regular candidates.
