The Medical Health Services Recruitment Board, Telangana has released a TS DME Assistant Professors Recruitment 2023 or TS Assistant Professors Recruitment 2023 notification on its official website to fill 1147 posts of Assistant Professors under various specialties under the Director of Medical Education (DME).

Notification has come just days after the State government’s decision to create 3,897 posts in various categories in the nine new medical colleges and attached hospitals in Telangana, with each medical college getting 433 posts in 33 different categories.

Giving impetus to its efforts aimed at strengthening and improving healthcare and medical education in the State, Telangana government has accorded permission for recruitment of 313 Assistant Professors.
The orders issued by the government permits filling up of 313 vacant posts of Assistant Professors for nine new Government Medical Colleges in the clinical and the non-clinical departments under the control of Director of Medical Education.
These posts will be filled by way of direct recruitment through Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board, Telangana. The orders said after examination of the proposals furnished by the Health, Medical & Family Welfare Department, the actual requirement of personnel with reference to the activities and needs of the department and the overall financial implication, the government accorded permission for filling up of these posts.
The Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board, would take the necessary steps for direct recruitment to the vacant posts permitted to be filled up by obtaining the requisite details, such as local cadre-wise vacancy position, roster points, qualifications, etc., from the secretary and heads of departments, concerned. The Board has been asked to issue the notification and schedule for recruitment, expeditiously.

Educational Qualifications: Applicants must possess the qualifications from MCI recognized Medical College and Experience as detailed in the notification or equivalent thereto, as specified in the relevant Service Rules, indented by the department as on the date of Notification.
The particulars of Department/Subject wise requirements for Assistant Professors along with required specializations and Experience for Health Medical & Family Welfare Department are shown in the notification. AGE: Minimum 18 years & Maximum 44 years. The Upper Age limit will be relaxed as per the Govt of Telangana Rules.
Recruitment Fee: Each applicant must pay Rs.500/-towards Online Application Fee. There is no fee exemption under this category. The applicant must pay Rs. 200/- towards processing Fee. SC, ST, BC, EWS, PH & Ex-servicemen of Telangana State and Unemployed applicants in the age group of 18 to 44 years of Telangana State applicants are exempted from payment of processing fee. Note: Applicants belonging to other states are not exempted from payment.
How to apply for assistant professors
The application has to be made online on MHSRB website as per the schedule. The applicants should upload all required certificates (original certificates have to be produced for verification at the time of scrutiny before finalizing the selection list).
Applications once submitted online shall be final. Upon submission of online form, Reference ID Number shall be generated. The same may be used for any future reference. Applicant must compulsorily fill-up all relevant columns of the application form carefully. The applicant alone shall be responsible for information provided by them and decisions taken by Board based on the same.
Incomplete / incorrect application form will be rejected. The information if any furnished by the applicant subsequently in any form will not be entertained by the Board under any circumstances. The applicant should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered, fabricated, or suppress any material information while submitting online application. The applicant shall be liable for criminal action in such cases.
Telangana Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board (MHSRB) has provided option to applicants for rectifying errors of online applications for the posts of Assistant Professor posts.
