The Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) has postponed the reopening of all junior colleges until further orders. A fresh date will be intimated in the due course of time.
As per the annual academic calendar, all the junior colleges were to open for the academic year 2020-21 on June 1.
Meanwhile, the BIE will conduct intermediate second-year Geography Paper-II and Modern Languages Paper-II exam on June 3 from 9 am to 12 noon at the centres as per schedule notified earlier. Students concerned can download their hall tickers from the website https://tsbie.cgg.gov.in.
BIE Secretary Syed Omer Jaleel said students who are unable to attend the Geography paper-II and Modern Languages Paper-II on June 3 due to the Covid-19 pandemic or lack of transportation or any other reason will be allowed to write the advanced supplementary examinations which will be conducted tentatively in the third week of July. These students will be treated as regular candidates, he added.

Web News: Telangana Inter board has announced the Schedule for admission into intermediate 1st year in Junior colleges in the Telangana state. The application submission process to be started from the third week of July. till July 1st of this month.
The first phase admissions will be started on the 21st of May month and Intermediate 1st-year Classes to be started from June 1. The first phase admission process would be completed till 1st of July month. The Second phase admission process would be completed up to the 31st of July month. This year, there are no online admissions and the old admission process system will be continued this year.
The Telangana Intermediate Board has issued a schedule for admission into government, private, aided, model schools and gurukul junior colleges in the state. The first phase admissions will be started from 21st of May. The colleges to distribute the application forms to students and for admission process. The first phase is to be completed by July 1.
From June 1 it is clear that classes should be started. These provisional admissions have been made based on Internet Marks Memos. Transfer certificates and original SSC memos have been confirmed to confirm their admissions. The second phase of the admission schedule will be issued later. The Board has suggested to all principals of junior colleges that all the seats should be allocated based on the Rules of Reservation.
The following items in the schedule:
1. admissions should be done based on Student’s grade point average, subjects based grade
2. No examinations can be conducted for admissions. Doing this, actions should be taken on respective colleges
3. Aadhar number of students should be enrolled in any college is mandatory
4. Amdissions should not exceed 88 seats in each of the seats in the college
5. Admissions should not be made in the combinations canceled by the board.
6. Admissions in Additional Sections come with board approvals. To abolish these provisionsa nd abolish college affiliate identity along with fine
7. In college, the seats that are sanctioned and the seats to be replaced will be put at the College Gate
8. No advertisements should be made about these admissions
9. Jogini children’s records should be replaced by a father name
10. Details of affiliated colleges can be obtained on the board website (tsbie.cgg.gov.in). Parents should include their children in recognized colleges.

The Principals of the Government / Private Aided / Private Unaided / Co-operative / TS Residential / Social Welfare Residential / Tribal Welfare Residential / Incentive / TS Model Junior Colleges and Composite Degree Colleges offering two year Intermediate course in General & Vocational streams to take special care in enrolment of students for the academic year -2020–2020 by making admissions in two phases. The first phase of admission schedule is given below.
First Phase Intermediate Admissions Schedule
1. Issuance of application forms and commencement of admissions in the first phase starts from 21-05-2020
2. Date of commencement of classes: third week of July.
3. Date of completion of admissions in the first phase: 01-07-2020
4. Date of completion of admissions in the Second phase : 31-07-2020
The schedule of the second phase of admissions will be communicated in due course. The classes for the first & second-year Intermediate course will commence from 01-06-2020. The Principals can make provisional admissions on the basis of Internet marks memos. The provisional admissions made will be confirmed after the production of the original SSC pass certificate and Transfer Certificate issued by the school authorities, where they last studied.
The Principals may follow the rules of reservation in admissions as per rules in force.
The Category wise reservation is as follows:
Seats to be reserved
1. Schedule castes: 15 %
2. Schedule tribes: 6%
3. Backward classes 29% (A-7%, B-10%, C-1%, D-7% & E-4%
4. Physically handicapped: 3%
5. NCC Sports & Extra curricular activities: 5%
6. Ex-service men & defence personnel residing in the state: 3%
33.33% or 1/3rd of total seats have to be reserved for girls category wise where there are no separate colleges for them.
In view of the introduction of grading system in SSC, admissions should be made based on GPA (Grade point average) and subject-wise grade point (GP) obtained in the qualifying examination as per the enclosed guidelines. They should not conduct any test for admission. Stringent action will be taken against the junior colleges making admissions on any other basis.
During the period of admissions the managements to display prominently at the entrance of the building the number of sections sanctioned by the Board of Intermediate Education for the academic year -2020-2020, the number of seats filled up in each section and the number of seats vacant in each section. This information should be updated on a daily basis.
All the Principals of unaided junior colleges are instructed not to resort to issue of advertisements with inducements amounting to violation of Rule 7 of Andhra Pradesh Public Examinations (Prevention of Malpractice & Unfair means) Rules 1997 issued in G.O.Ms.No.114, dated 13-05-1997. Any violation noticed will be dealt under law. All the Principals to incorporate Mother’s name and Father’s Name in respect of joining children as it is in the records of qualifying examination. All the Principals to take measures to ensure security to girl students.

The Principals of unaided junior colleges are hereby directed that they should make admissions only upto the sanctioned sections and upto the ceiling strength of 88 in each section. They are further directed not to make admissions in the combinations dropped by the Board. The admission into additional sections should be made only after the permission is issued by the Board. Violation, if any, will be liable for action including levying of penalty and disaffiliation of the college.
